摘要： PURPOSE:To correctly and continuously measure the distance between a horn part of a measuring pantagraph and a wall surface or structure by providing the measuring pantagraph to a trolley car and, projecting a first and a second light beams to the periphery of the horn part and the wall surface of a very small tunnel by means of a measuring optical system. CONSTITUTION:A first light beam LH is projected from a projector 81 of a measuring optical system 9 to the periphery of a horn part H of a hull 71 of a measuring pantagraph 7 in the advancing direction of a trolley car 6. At the same time, a second light beam LB which has small angles to the advancing direction of the trolley car 6 and appropriate angles in the up-and-down direction is projected by a second projector 82 to a wall surface of a tunnel perpendicularly. Images of the horn part H and the wall surface or structure are received on the same screen of an ITV camera 83. The image data detected by the camera 83 when the trolley car 6 runs at low speeds is processed, whereby the separated distance of the inner wall surface or structure from the horn part H is calculated. In this manner, the distance can be correctly measured without vibrating the pantagraph 7.

Since both the background lights can be regarded as being the same by suitably setting the visual fields of the lenses 18a, 18b, a detection signal having high reliability for the arc light shown in Fig. c can be obtained by using the difference of both by the differential calculator 23.
