    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch capable of performing highly reliable switching with a small driving force by providing a projection on the substrate side surface of a moving flat optical waveguide. SOLUTION: A separation layer 2 located below cantilever beams 6 and 7 and a connecting member 8 is eliminated by etching, and the surface of substrate 1 is exposed around the cantilever beams 6 and 7 and the connecting member 8.
