CONSTITUTION:The central bolt 4 made of the ceramics screwed and fixed to the tapped hole of the respective metal blocks is provided, the ring shape electrostrictive oscillating element 1 is constituted by alternately laminating piezoelectric elements 1a, 1a' and terminal plates 1b, 1c, 1c', as the piezoelectric elements 1a, 1b, zircon lead titanate, etc., is used and as the terminal plates 1b, 1c, 1c', phosphor bronze plate, etc., is used. As the metal blocks 2, 3, a metal good in an oscillation radiating characteristic such as aluminum alloy is selected. As the central bolt 4 made of the ceramics, silicon carbide may be preferred in terms of strength under a high temperature. For instance, when the silicon carbide is used as the central bolt and the aluminum is used as the metal block, the thermal expansion coefficient of the silicon carbide is 1 several as low as the aluminum, so that the electrostrictive oscillation element 1 held by the metal blocks 2, 3 is compressed by the metal blocks 2, 3 according to the rise of temperature to generate gap between the electrostrictive element oscillation element 1 and the metal blocks 2, 3.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the wetting property of a fluid and an atomizing surface so as to obtain stable atomization by forming a carbon film on the atomizing surface at the tip end of a front horn, in the ultrasonic atomizer having a structure in which a piezo-electric element is pinched by the front horn and a rear block. CONSTITUTION:Piezo-electric elements are pinched by a front horn and a rear block. The front horn and the rear block are fixed to each other by mechanical means such as screw clamping or the like. A front horn 1 of an aluminum alloy in which a carbon film 9 is formed is provided on an atomizing surface 8 at the tip end. Piezo-electric elements 3 and 3 made from titanium zirconate, which pinch therebetween a copper electrode plate 4, are pinched by the front horn 1 and the rear block 2 made of an aluminum alloy, and a steel bolt 5 is fixed to a front block 10 by screw thereby to form the ultrasonic fuel atomizer. In this case, the carbon film 9 is formed by the plasma process. That is, the front horn 1 is placed within a vacuum vessel, and a graphite heater is disposed in the periphery of the front horn 1. When the front horn 1 is heated to 500 deg.C, the carbon film 9 is formed on the atomizing surface at the tip end of the front horn 1.

    • PURPOSE:To surely resume atomization by preventing the adhesion of a liquid droplet to an atomizing surface at the time of the interruption of the atomization, by connecting a liquid supply solenoid valve control circuit to one end of the load of an oscillation circuit through a delay circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is closed, AC voltage is generated in the load to an amplifying circuit and fed back to the input side of the amplifying circuit by a feedback circuit to start oscillation. A piezoelectric vibrator 5 is connected to this feedback circuit and the current flowing through the piezoelectric vibrator 5 becomes max. at the resonance frequency of an ultrasonic atomizer and, therefore, the current fed back by the feedback circuit becomes also max. at the resonance frequency of the ultrasonic atomizer and oscillation continues at the resonance frequency. The AC voltage generated in the load is also inputted to a delay circuit and further inputted to a solenoid control circuit after the elapse of a definite time determined by the constant of the delay circuit and a solenoid valve is operated to supply a liquid and the adhesion of a liquid droplet is prevented by this time shift.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a pump with less pulsation and easy discharge control using a simple construction by installing a resilient plate at the tip of a horn- shaped ultrasonic vibrator having a liquid supply hole, and mounting the resilient plate at the liquid inlet of a pressurization vessel. CONSTITUTION:In this horn-shaped ultrasonic vibrator, an electrode plate 9 is nipped by two piezo elements 8, 8, which are at both sides nipped by a metal member 7 and a horn 7' connected therewith electrically. Here a resilient plate 5 is installed at the tip of the horn 7. This resilient plate 5 is mounted at the liquid inlet 15 of a pressurization vessel 1 through a support 4 by the use of a resilient pushing member 6. If AC voltage is impressed on the electrode and metal member 7 through leads 10, 10', respectively, the resilient plate 5 vibrates bendingly, and the liquid is exhausted out of a liquid supply hole 11 through a pressurization chamber 2 from a discharge hole 3. The amount of discharge is controlled by adjusting the impressed voltage.

    • PURPOSE:To surely resume atomization without depositing droplets on the atomization surface when atomization is stopped by connecting a piezoelectric vibrator and a vibration detecting circuit in series and connecting a circuit for controlling a solenoid valve to supply a liq. to the circuit through a delay circuit. CONSTITUTION:With respect to the control circuit of the ultrasonic atomizer, the primary side of a transformer 20 is connected to the collector of an oscillating transistor 17, one of the secondary sides is connected to a piezoelectric vibrator 5, the other side is connected to a common line, the piezoelectric vibrator 5 and a vibration detecting resistance 21 are connected in series and a feedback capacitor 16 and the anode of a diode 22 of a delay circuit are connected at the junction. The cathode of the diode 22 is connected to a transistor 25 of a solenoid valve control circuit through a resistance 23 and a capacitor 24. Accordingly, even when atomization is stopped due to the generation of anomaly in the ultrasonic atomizer, the oscillating circuit, etc., the solenoid valve is closed, hence droplets are not deposited on the atomization surface and atomization can be surely resumed.
