    • PURPOSE:To reduce greatly the data writing time to a picture memory by producing two black data covering start and end positions of a black run through the word end position and inverting the latter to obtain an AND with the former. CONSTITUTION:Both start and end positions Ab and Ae of a black run detected by a detector (not shown in the figure) for position of changed picture element are held temporarily at registers 20 and 22 and then supplied to a black run generator 26 via a multiplexer 24. The output of the generator 26 is applied to a register 28, and the picture data on each word is delivered to a picture memory from the register 28. The positions Ab and Ae held at registers 20 and 22 are supplied to a comparator 30, and this comparison output is supplied to a control circuit 32. The contents of the register 28 are also supplied to the circuit 32. Based on this control signal, an AND is obtained with the data obtained by inverting the output of the register 28 at the generator 26. This AND data is produced as the picture data.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent display of an error frame, by accumulating a generation cyclic code of each data unit, obtaining a cyclic code of a data string having prescribed length, and checking the data string by use of its cyclic code. CONSTITUTION:A continuation/non-continuation mode indicating FF11 is set or reset by a continuation mode of a non-continuation mode indicated by a command signal in advance. Also, a series data read out from a magnetic disk, etc. is provided to an AND gate 13 by a clock synchronizing with the data, its series data is inputted to a cyclic code generating circuit 10 through the gate 13, is subtracted by a generating polynomial in accordance with a data lock enable signal, and its division is executed until the final data in the sector. Subsequently, immediately before the next first data is obtained, a cyclic code of a data string having prescribed length is obtained by referring to a state of the FF11 by the circuit 10, and after read-out of the indicated data has been completed, and cyclic code is outputted, and display of an error frame is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To make possible the drying that can cope with high speed printing by blowing warm wind to the direction along the paper plane from both sides of a stacker which receives successively led-out sheets of paper thereby keeping plural sheets afloat at all times and performing drying. CONSTITUTION:A stacker 10 which receives and contains printed paper 2 let off from a printer body 11 by way of guide rollers 5 and a warm wind device 9 which generates warm wind of 80-100 deg.C by means of a fan 7 and a heater 8 are provided. The blow-ports of the blast ducts 6 which are provided on both sides of the stacker 10 and are provided with the blow-holes for blowing the warm wind from the warm wind device 9 to the direction along the plane of the paper 2 from the sides of the paper 2 on the stacker 10 are provided in the length corresponding to the length of the paper contained in the stacker 10. Further, the paper 2 is adjusted as low as the jam of the paper does not occur and as high as 4-5 sheets of the upper paper float at a 1-2cm spacing by a paper retainer 12 for retaining the paper downward by a fixed amount from the position AA'.

    • PURPOSE:To allow a user to arbitrarily file a printing system in either one of a top-binding system and a side-binding system, by indicating the binding position and front or back surface printing of paper and controlling the development of printing data on a full dot memory and the feed-out order thereof from the full dot memory to a printing part on the basis of indication. CONSTITUTION:A flag showing the front and back of a page is contained in printing data and set to a page front and back flag register 102. Paper binding position data composed of top-binding, side-binding, the width of a blank part or the like are stored in a paper binding position data register 103. A character contraction operator 104 operates contraction quantity for contracting a character vertically or horizontally on the basis of paper binding position data. This contraction quantity is sent to a character contraction device 105 and printing data are contracted vertically or horizontally. The printing data passing through the character contraction device 105 are developed on a full dot memory (FDM) 107 under the control of an FDM developing address operator 106 and read under the control of an FDM reading address operator 108 to be sent to a printer 109.
