    • PURPOSE:To reduce the delay of a required time for printing by a method wherein printing data to be printed with the same magnification as that set in a printer is selected in preference to data with another printing magnification and printed by a printer and, thereafter, the another printing magnification is set to the printer, and the printing is transferred to a printing with the another printing magnification. CONSTITUTION:A printing data selection means 304 has a function of retrieving a printing magnification of printing data in a memory forming a spool file 303 and fetches printing data to be printed with the same magnification as that set in a printer 406 from the memory in preference to printing data with another magnification. A printing mode change means 305 has a function of judging whether or not printing data with a printing magnification unretrieved is present in the memory forming the spool file 303 and, according to the judged result, obtains the time when the printing data with a printing magnification unretrieved has not been present in the memory. At this time, the means 305 indicates a printer controller 405 to set any printing magnification of separately held printing data to the printer 406 to transfer the printing to a printing with a new printing magnification. In this manner, the delay of a required time for printing caused by changing a printing magnification in a printer can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To promptly enlarge and reduce picture data by referring to the value of each rotation shift register with successively shifting the register, controlling the input/output of the data and plural concentration calculating parts, and simultaneously executing a concentration operation for the row or the column of the continuously converted picture. CONSTITUTION:A concentration calculating part 116 calculates the value of a converted picture element from the respective latest two bits overflowing an the result of shifting input shift registers 112 and 113, where the original picture data are stored, and the horizontal and vertical components of intra-lattice coordinates, which are stored at the highest-order of rotation shift registers 118 and 119. Simultaneously, a concentration calculating part 117 calculates the value of the converted picture element from the respective latest two bits overflowing as the result of shifting input shift registers 114 and 115, and the horizontal and vertical components of the intra-lattice coordinates, which are stored at the highest-order of the rotation shift register 118 and at the second highest-order of the rotation shift register 119. Thus, by simultaneously processing the continuous rows or the columns, even when the original picture is small, since the plural concentration calculating part can be effectively applied, the processing time can be made shorter.

    • PURPOSE:To allow a user to arbitrarily file a printing system in either one of a top-binding system and a side-binding system, by indicating the binding position and front or back surface printing of paper and controlling the development of printing data on a full dot memory and the feed-out order thereof from the full dot memory to a printing part on the basis of indication. CONSTITUTION:A flag showing the front and back of a page is contained in printing data and set to a page front and back flag register 102. Paper binding position data composed of top-binding, side-binding, the width of a blank part or the like are stored in a paper binding position data register 103. A character contraction operator 104 operates contraction quantity for contracting a character vertically or horizontally on the basis of paper binding position data. This contraction quantity is sent to a character contraction device 105 and printing data are contracted vertically or horizontally. The printing data passing through the character contraction device 105 are developed on a full dot memory (FDM) 107 under the control of an FDM developing address operator 106 and read under the control of an FDM reading address operator 108 to be sent to a printer 109.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower printer use frequency during daytime by providing a computer with a printer driver which adds time data specifying print start time to print data, and a printer control part with a timer for print management, a storage part for print-waiting print data, and a print start time managing means. SOLUTION: A printer driver 2 adds time data which has a value of relative time from the present time to the print data generated by the computer 1 and sends them to a printer 3. When the time data are not 0, a print data reception part 5 converts the time data into absolute time data in the printer 3 and sends them to a print start time management part 7. The print start time management part 7 sends the print data which have elapsed the print start time in a data storage part 8 to the print data reception part 5, while setting the time data in the print data to 0. The print data reception part 5 sends the print data to a print control part 6, since the time data are 0. The print control part 6 controls a print mechanism part 10 and prints out the print data.
