    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for electrostatic charge development showing little rapid decrease in the electric resistance even when a carrier resin coating peels, and suppressing carrier development even after the carrier is used for a long period of time under high temperature and high humidity conditions, and to provide a developer for electrostatic charge development containing the above carrier for electrostatic charge development, a developer cartridge housing the developer for electrostatic charge development, a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus using the developer for electrostatic charge development. SOLUTION: The carrier for electrostatic charge development comprises a core material and a resin coating layer coating the core material and is characterized in that the core material has a shell containing metal oxide except for iron oxide, formed on the surface of a core magnetic core material particle containing magnetic metal particles and that the electric resistance of the shell is higher than the electric resistance of the core magnetic core material particle. The developer for electrostatic charge development contains the above carrier for electrostatic charge development; the developer cartridge houses the above developer for electrostatic charge development; and the process cartridge and the image forming apparatus use the above developer for electrostatic charge development. The binder resin constituting the electrostatic charge image developing toner has 50 to 65°C glass transition temperature. As the other way, the toner contains a binder resin copolymerized with a crosslinking agent expressed by the formula. In the formula, X represents CH 2 or CH 2 CH 2 O; n is an integer 20 to 30 and R represents a hydrogen atom or CH 3 . An image forming method is carried out by using an electrostatic charge image developing developer containing the above electrostatic charge image developing toner, wherein the process speed in a fixing step is specified to 200 to 370 mm/s.
