    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a hybridization process requiring much time for detecting nucleic acids and a large space for experiment by very simple operation, bring a small size to an apparatus at the same time and simply and quickly prepare a single chain nucleic acid.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus for automatically preparing the nucleic acid is constituted by installing at least (A) a reaction part having a reaction vessel holder, a heating and cooling device and a magnetic force controller, (B) a chip rack/supernatant recovering part having a chip rack and a supernatant recovery vessel, (C) a reagent part having a reagent-holding vessel and (D) a plurality of chip nozzles, having a mechanism for attaching and detaching the chip to and from the nozzle and a mechanism for sucking and injecting a treatment solution by attached chip and installing a head part installed with an arm unit movable toward X-Z axis direction. The method for detecting the nucleic acid in a sample uses the apparatus.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism separating device capable of selectively separating a target microorganism from sample water with good accuracy and recovering the microorganism.
      SOLUTION: This microorganism separating device is equipped with a microchip 20 for capturing the target microorganism contained in the sample water, a sample water supply means 19 for supplying the sample water to the microchip 20, and a sample water suction means 21 for sucking the sample water from the microchip 20. The microchip 20 has a flat plate substrate 10 on which a flow channel 11 having a fluid supply port 13, a fluid suction port 15, and a fluid discharge port 14 are formed and a capturing part 12 positioned on the fluid suction port 15 of the flat plate substrate 10. The capturing part 12 of the microchips has a plurality of open holes 12a each having a diameter smaller than a minimum diameter of the target microorganism.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize efficient capturing work of circulating cancer cells in blood by suppressing contamination of air into a flow path.SOLUTION: The capturing device for circulating cancer cells comprises a construction in which liquid to be supplied to a filter unit is selected by selection means and, based on the result, blood or processing solution is supplied to the filter unit by liquid supplying means, resulting in that efficient capturing work for circulating cancer cells in blood is performed when being compared to conventional device. In addition, a deaeration means is arranged at upstream side of the filter for capturing air in blood and discharging the air outside, thereby it is avoided that blood into which air is contaminated passes the filter, resulting in that reduction in processing efficiency due to air contamination is suppressed and high measurement precision may be maintained.
