摘要： Systems and methods for treating spinal stenosis include endoscopic access devices and bone removal devices used to perform a foraminotomy or other bone removal procedures. Some of the bone removal devices include expandable members which may be used to control the forced exerted and/or position of the bone removal mechanism, and to protect neurovascular structures and other soft tissue structures from the bone removal mechanism. Other bone removal devices include a trephine with a viewing window and a guide wire lumen used to position the trephine at a target tissue site using an anchored wire. The viewing window may be used to monitor structures or tissues adjacent to the target tissue site.

摘要： The invention is directed to a directional coupler for coupling together a radar frequency transmitter to a combined transmitting and receiving antenna, a power absorber and a receiver. A tunable stub is employed to reflect a selected amount of transmitted energy to the local oscillator (LO) of the receiver for mixing with the incoming received signal. The coupler can be constructed from any known type RF transmission line suitable for passing or coupling signals of radar frequencies. A significant amount of the transmitter power is absorbed in a power absorbing RF load allowing only a small amount to be transmitted from the antenna and a still smaller amount fed back as LO to the receiver. The invention works equally as well on a dish type antenna and a phased array antenna.

摘要： A Doppler radar system for a vehicle providing driver warning, vehicle brake application and air bag deployment. The system produces voltage level inputs directed to the distance and approach rate to an object, vehicle speed and driving monitor inputs, such as steering angles, turning rates, braking, and acceleration/deacceleration. These voltages are properly weighted as to their importance. These weighted instantaneous input voltages are summed. The summed voltage is then compared with a predetermined voltage level dividing safe and danger zones. If the summed level falls within the safe zone, the radar system produces no output signals. If the summed voltage level falls within the danger zone, the radar system produces audio warning signals and if impact with an object is imminent vehicle braking signals are then produced. The invention further includes an air bag deployment feature. A vehicle air bag is deployed when the vehicle speed exceeds a pre-determined value and the distance to impact is within a predetermined distance. The air bag deployment and audio and braking functions are independent.

摘要： A radar system for headway control of a vehicle comprises, an FM-CW radar for producing signals respectively representing the range and closing rate between the vehicle and an object. Signals are produced representing certain vehicle conditions including the speed, steering, acceleration and declaration of the vehicle. All of said signals are summed into a single signal representing the actual hazard level between the vehicle and the object. A reference signal is then produced representing a predetermined reference hazard level derived from summing weighted values of the range, closing rate and vehicle conditions. Finally, a signal is produced when the actual hazard level exceeds the reference hazard level. A signal representing road conditions, such as wet, dry, ice, snow conditions may be reflected in the actual and reference hazard levels.

The cover 9 of the hopper may be tightly closed by means of an arm 11 and pivoted lever 10.

The elongated member has a lumen extending longitudinally therethrough. An endoscope is dimensioned to be received in the lumen and has an elongated shaft of sufficient length such that when a distal tip of the endoscope extends into the head, and the contact surface contacts the organ or tissue at the target location, a proximal end portion of the elongated shaft of the endoscope extends out of the opening in the patient.
