    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of preventing brightness or a hue from getting unnatural on a division boundary in one panoramic scene and reproducing the panoramic scene in focus in all the range of the scene. SOLUTION: In the case of photographing in a panorama assist mode in which photographing is performed by dividing one panoramic scene to plural, automatic exposure control is performed in photographing sequence at the time of turning on a switch SW1 and white balance processing is performed after photographing at the time of turning on a switch SW2 the same as normal single photographing in the case of taking the first picture. In the case of taking the second and succeeding pictures, the automatic exposure control and automatic white balance control are not performed but photographing and recording are performed under the same control as the first picture in the case of finder display at the time of turning of the switch SW1 and in the photographing sequence at the time of turning on the switch SW1. When the switch SW1 is temporarily turned off after photographing, automatic focus control is executed.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a photographing lens from passing over a range-finding feasible range in a search mode by making the maximum storage time of an imaging device shorter than a usual value and making the interval of fetching sensor output short in the search mode. CONSTITUTION:When the search mode is started, the distance ring of a lens is moved to the closest end so as to set the maximum storage time=X/4ms and the gain of an amplifier to a maximum of 16 fold. While the distance ring is moved, the storage of an AF sensor is performed so that the sensor output is fetched and correlative calculation is performed. Such operation is repetitively performed until it is judged that luminance and contrast are not low. Then, the maximum storage time is set to a value being 1/2 to 1/4 of a value (Xms) conventionally set in a silver salt camera, so that the photographing lens is prevented from passing over the range-finding feasible range in the course of the storage of the sensor in the search mode. However, when the storage time is set to be short, the sensor output becomes small. Then, in order to cope with it, the gain of a sensor amplifier 23 which is a maximum of 8 fold in the conventional manner is allowed to be 16 fold.

CONSTITUTION:A system control part 3 determines a shutter speed according to data on the aperture value of a photographic lens part 1 and a light measurement output and drives the shutter in an optical system 2. At this time, the light measurement output which is inputted to the control part 3 does not have a linear characteristic since the quantity of marginal light is decreased by the mirror below a certain aperture value. For the purpose, previously found correction values corresponding to respective aperture values are stored in the control part 3 and the output of a light measurement sensor 4 is corrected with the correction value corresponding to the current aperture value to obtain an accurate photometric value.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of image resolution due to a multiplex frequency of a reference signal by multiplexing a frequency of the reference signal for correcting a time axis after the frequency is made drastically apart from a luminance FM signal band at the time of recording and reproducing a black- and-white picture signal. CONSTITUTION:An output of a BPF 36 is a sine-wave signal of 2.5MHz while an output of a BPF 38 is a sine-wave signal of 1.25MHz. A switch 40 is connected to the side of a-contact in the case of color, and is connected to the side of b-contact in the case of black-and-white. The sine-wave signal selected by the switch 40 is impressed on an adder 42, and is multiplexed in frequency with an FM signal 30a outputted from a recording processing circuit 30 to be magnetically recorded to a video floppy disk 48. As stated above, when the picture signal is black-and-white, the 1.25MHz signal is frequency- multiplexed, so that this sine-wave signal is multiplexed in a band far remote from the luminance FM signal band, and hence the leakage of the sine-wave signal is drastically reduced. By this method, the deterioration of the resolution does not take place, and the picture with high picture quality is recorded and reproduced.

Next, the picture signals, to which the identification burst signals are added, are passed through still video recording process circuits 110 and 111 and address 112 and 113, added to a pilot signal from a pilot signal generator 120, and recorded in a video floppy 118. Thus, the accurate phase matching between the picture signals and the sampling clock can be executed, and high picture quality can be obtained.
