    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a lens barrel while incorporating a time series phase difference autofocusing device by arranging a diaphragm driving means and a pupil division driving means on nearly the same phase around a photographing optical axis. SOLUTION: Relating to this lens barrel having diaphragm means 30, 31 and 32 changing the diaphragm aperture of a photographing optical system and pupil division means 24 and 25 time-sequentially dividing light from the exit pupil of the photographing optical system; an actuator for pupil division 19 and an actuator for a diaphragm 33 are arranged to be juxtaposed in an optical axis direction on nearly the same phase around the photographing optical axis. By such arrangement, the actuators 19 and 33 are arranged together in the lens barrel, so that a projecting part for housing an actuator has only to be provided at one spot in the peripheral direction of the lens barrel. Therefore, the lens barrel is miniaturized in comparison with the case that the actuators 19 and 33 are arranged on the different phases around the optical axis and the projecting parts for housing the actuator are provided at two spots in the lens barrel.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert/remove an optical low-pass filter(LPF) for preventing the generation of false color corresponding to the photographic mode of pixel shift photographing for improving a resolution concerning an image pickup device using a solid-state imaging device. SOLUTION: An optical low-pass filter 6a for false color generation prevention is provided on a holding frame 6, and this optical LPF 6a is made movable to a prescribed 1st position to be used in an image pickup and the other 2nd position not to be used at the time of image pickup by a pinion 8a and a rack 6d. Besides, as a pixel shift photographing mechanism for improving the resolution, an infrared cut filter 3a provided on a holding frame 3 is inclined so as to shift an image on an image pickup plane 1 just for a prescribed amount. Then, these components are driven selectively while using one motor 13 and a gear mechanism.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize picture element shift by parallel flat plates and escape of the parallel flat plates with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A support frame 16 supports parallel flat plates 14 turnably around a shaft 18. A slider 20 having the shaft 18 is fed horizontally by a feed screw 22b turned by a drive source 22a of a feeding mechanism 22. The slider 20 holds an optical member 26. A step cam 28a is formed to a side of a board 28 opposed to the support frame 16 and a cam follower 16a following to the step cam 28a while being in press contact therewith is formed to the support frame 16 on the other hand. The cam follower 16a follows a cam face of the step cam 28a in response to the movement of the slider 20. Thus, the parallel flat plates 14 are tilted by a prescribed angle. When the slider 20 moves up to one end, the parallel flat plates 14 are deviated from an image pickup optical flux and an optical member 26 enters the image pickup optical flux.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide proper exposure and to stabilize object field depth by adjusting the quantity of light excepting for the storage period for electric charges to fix aperture during a storage period. SOLUTION: Light received by a light receiving part 18 is sent to a light quantity detection circuit 22 for light quantity detection, the quantity of light is detected, and a signal based on that quantity of light is sent to an iris aperture adjusting part 24. Based on that signal, the adjusting part 24 drives a light quantity adjusting means 4 and changes the area of the aperture and the proper exposure can be provided. The quantity of light of a subject is received by the light receiving part 18 is detected 22 and the aperture of the iris is decided corresponding to that detected quantity of light. The iris aperture is always kept appropriate during the storage period. Therefore, the satisfactory image of appropriate exposure and stable object field depth can be provided for each frame. In this case, the quantity of light can be controlled for the period for moving the electric charges stored in an optic/electric converting part to a transfer part or for the period from the end of transfer period to the start of storage.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of quickly focusing without necessitating a sensor used only for focusing on a subject. SOLUTION: An aperture blade 2 with two spectacle-like holes 2a and 2b formed on a concentric circle and plural holes whose diameters are different from each other is arranged at a diaphragm position. A 1st electrical signal is taken out of the image pickup element 6 in a state where one of two holes is closed by a light shielding blade 4, and a 2nd electrical signal is taken out of the image pickup element 6 in a state where the other hole of two holes 2a and 2b is closed. A defocusing quantity is calculated by a range finding means 9 based on a phase difference between the 1st electrical signal and the 2nd electrical signal, then, a focusing lens 1a is moved in accordance with the defocusing quantity so as to focus. Thereafter, the aperture blade 2 is rotated so that the hole of the desired aperture value may be arranged at the luminous flux position of a photographic optical system, then, photographic exposure is performed.

SOLUTION: Two actuators are used between the rotational angles (d) and (e). In the non-energized state of the coil shown by a curve (a), the rotor is energized by the torque of a magnetic circuit to either the rotational angle (d) or (e) with a boundary at the rotational angle (f) where the torque is zero. Namely, the rotor being at the rotational angle (d) in the non-energized state remains at the rotational angle (d), and the rotor being at the rotational angle (e) in that state remains at the rotational angle (e). Thus, hold is executed without requiring the hold mechanism such as a cam particularly.
