摘要： A variable speed motor includes first and second main windings wound on a stator, and a relay for performing a switching operation between serial/parallel connections of the first and second main windings to control motor speed. The variable speed motor further includes a tap winding connected in series to the main windings, or an additional capacitor, such that it can greatly extend the range of a variable speed without using a drive unit capable of changing the motor speed at an external location, resulting in reduced production costs of the motor, reduced electromagnetic vibration noise, and reduced power consumption.

摘要： An outer-rotor variable-speed motor, to which single-phase AC power is applied and on which a rotor is provided outside a stator, comprises first and second main windings provided on a stator of the motor to form a plurality of poles, a frequency detector for detecting the frequency of AC power applied to the motor, and a relay for connecting the first and second main windings in series if the detected frequency is 60 Hz and connecting the first and second main windings in parallel if the detected frequency is 50 Hz. The speed of the motor is kept constant even when power at different frequencies is applied, so that it is possible to reduce the manufacturing cost of the motor and reduce the power consumption, and also to reduce electromagnetic noise from the motor.

The variable speed motor includes: a main winding including first and second main windings, and an auxiliary winding including first and second auxiliary windings, wherein the main winding and the auxiliary winding are wound on a stator to form a plurality of poles; and a plurality of relays for performing a switching operation between serial/parallel connections of the first and second main windings or the first and second auxiliary windings. The variable speed motor includes: a stator on which a 4-pole winding and a 12-pole winding are wound; a plurality of tap windings connected in series to a 4-pole main winding forming 4 poles, for extending a variable range of rotation speed of the motor during a 4-pole operation mode; and a phase control circuit for varying rotation speed of the motor by controlling a phase of an input power-supply signal during a 12-pole operation mode. Therefore, the variable speed motor greatly extends the range of a variable speed of the motor, and does not require an additional drive unit for varying the motor speed, such that production costs are greatly reduced, and electromagnetic vibration noise caused by a low-speed control mode of the motor is also greatly reduced. Rotation speed of the motor is controlled by a phase control operation and a winding switching operation, such that the variable speed motor effectively controls the motor speed, and greatly reduces power consumption.

摘要： A dish washer includes a sump communicated with a tub to accommodate water, a water supply pump for pumping the water in the sump, a filtering device for receiving a part of the water pumped through an auxiliary passageway to filter the pumped water and to supply the filtered water to the sump again, and a bypass for bypassing the water to be supplied to the filtering device to the tub or the sump when the filtering device is blocked by sewage. The bypass includes a first sensor detecting water passing therethrough and the filtering device being blocked and transmitting the detected result to a controller, and a second sensor detecting and informing the water pollution level to the controller when the filtering device is blocked. A controlling method thereof determines an algorithm of a cycle for washing or rinsing dishes using information acquired from the first and the second sensors.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a washing machine with drying function. A heater is mounted in a tub for heating wash water or air in the tub. A circulating channel is connected to the tub for guiding air heated by the heater to the outside of the tub and then supplying the air into a drum such that the laundry in the drum is dried. Consequently, the structure of the washing machine with drying function is simplified, the manufacturing costs of the washing machine with drying function are reduced, and noise generated from the washing machine with drying function is minimized.
