    • An augmented spreadsheet presentation provides for selecting a region of user focus in a primary body of data displayed as an array of cells, with two or more displayed cells of the array of cells being logically linked by a constraint graph. Color of two or more displayed cells can be dynamically adjusted in response to selected user focus with a mouse or other cursor, with each of the two or more displayed cells having a slightly different color to form a color gradient that shows constraint graph linkage of the cells. Additional annotations illustrating constraint graph relationships or formulas can also be activated by a transient mouse focus.

    • Methods, systems, and media for interactive garment modeling and editing are provided. In some embodiments, a method for designing garments is provided, the method comprising: receiving a pattern template comprising a plurality of two-dimensional pattern elements for designing a garment; simultaneously displaying the plurality of two-dimensional pattern elements and a three-dimensional draped model, wherein the three-dimensional draped model is a simulated representation of the two-dimensional pattern elements stitched together; receiving an alteration command to at least a portion of one of: a pattern element of the plurality of two-dimensional pattern elements and the three-dimensional draped model; in response to receiving the alteration command, determining sensitivity information for predicting changes to the plurality of two-dimensional pattern elements and the three-dimensional draped model; and simultaneously updating the plurality of two-dimensional pattern elements and the three-dimensional draped model based at least in part on the determined sensitivity information.

    • A sketching interface for quickly and easily designing freeform models such as stuffed animals and other rotund objects. The user draws several 2D freeform strokes interactively on the screen and the system automatically constructs plausible 3D polygonal surfaces. The system supports several modeling operations, including the operation to construct a 3D polygonal surface from a 2D silhouette drawn by the user: it inflates the region surrounded by the silhouette making wide areas fat, and narrow areas thin. The system is implemented as a Java(tm) program, and the mesh construction is done in real-time on a standard PC. An informal user study showed that a first-time user typically masters the operations within 10 minutes, and can construct interesting 3D models within minutes.
