摘要： The present invention relates to a minimally-invasive method for restoring a damaged or degenerated intervertebral disc at an early stage. The method comprises the step of administering an injectable in situ setting formulation in the nucleus pulposus of the damaged or degenerated disc of a patient. The formulation once injected combines with nucleus matters and host cells, and becomes viscous or gels in situ within the annulus fibrosus of the disc for increasing the thickness and volume of the damaged or degenerated disc. The formulation is retained within the disc for providing restoration of the damaged or degenerated disc.

摘要： The present invention relates to a filler composition for soft-tissue augmentation and reconstructive surgery comprising an effective amount of an injectable thermo-gelling solution comprising 0.1 to 5.0 % by weight of chitosan or collagen or a derivative thereof; and 1.0 to 20 % by weight of a salt of polyol or sugar selected from the group consisting of mono-phosphate dibasic salt, mono-sulfate salt and a mono-carboxylic acid salt of polyol or sugar. The solution is stable and turns into a gel within a tem-perature range from 20 to 70 DEG C. The gel has a cosmetically acceptable consistency for providing a mechanical support to surrounding soft tissues once injected therein. The composition can thus be used as filler for soft tissue augmentation and reconstructive surgery.

摘要： The present invention relates to a new method for the production of polymer microparticles. The method is carried out in the absence of organic solvent, and consists in the steps of (a) combining first and second polymers, the first and second polymers being immiscible, (b) heating the combination obtained in step (a) so as to melt the first and second polymers; (c) stirring the melted polymers obtained in step (b) under conditions effective to produce a biphasic system comprising a dispersed phase consisting of a dispersion of the first polymer and a matrix continuous phase comprising the second polymer, the dispersed phase containing microparticles of the first polymer dispersed in the matrix continuous phase; (d) solidifying the biphasic system obtained in step (c) so as to keep the microparticles of the first polymer dispersed in the matrix continuous phase; and (e) separating and isolating the microparticles of the first polymer from the matrix continuous phase, wherein the first polymer forming said dispersed phase is water-insoluble, while the second polymer forming the continuous phase is water-soluble.

Aqueous chitosan/organo-phosphate solutions are initially stored at low temperatures (4° C.), then endothermally gelated within the temperature range of 30 to 60° C. Chitosan/organo-phosphate solutions rapidly turn into gels at the desired gelation temperature. Gelation can be ex vivo within any receivers or molds, or in situ in animals or humans (in vivo) so as to fill a tissue defect or cavity.

The present invention proposes a) a thermo-sensitive self-gelling liquid component, being water-based, comprising at least a polycationic and a phosphate source, wherein the liquid component is a thermo-gelling solution at a pH ranging from 6.5 to 7.4; b) a powder component consisting in at least two calcium phosphate sources.
