    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of vibration caused by wear and to improve the reliability and the handlability by providing a whole mast so as to be freely movable in the radial direction of an RPV on a carriage, and also, constituting the device so that an arm ascends and descends along the lower mast. CONSTITUTION:When the upper and the lower masts 16, 18 are allowed to descend vertically, a mast guide 15 and the masts 16, 18 are fixed to a mast supporting base 26 of a carriage 14 so that a head 20 and an arm 19 do not abut on a feed water sparger 7 and a reactor core spray inner tube 8 in an RPV 1, and thereafter, the mast 16 is allowed to descend until a guide roller 44 of the lower end part of the mast 18 approaches the upper shroud 6. Subsequently, by moving a supporting base 26 in the radial outside direction of the RPV 1, the masts 16, 18 are allowed to approach the wall surface of the RPV 1, the arm 19 and the head 20 are crept in right under the sparger 7 and the inner tube 8, and the mast 18 is allowed to descend until the roller 44 comes into contact with the inner wall. While the head 20 is scanning, only the arm 19 moves, and the mast 18 remains still. In such a way, play caused by wear of the mast supporting part is obviated.

    • PURPOSE:To enable meaurement of the thickness of a tube regardless of deformation in the sectional shape thereof, by arranging plate springs supporting a sensor movable in a radial direction independent of each other to support a sensor support portion in such a manner as to freely oscillate circumferentially. CONSTITUTION:A probe 2 is made up of a front plate spring 21 and a rear plate spring 22 as holding means fastened on both sides of a guide member 11, a support bar 23 having a sensor 13 mounted thereon, an intermediate plate spring 24 composing a support means of the sensor 13 together therewith and a coil spring 25 adapted to energize the support bar 23 outward radially. Then, plate springs 21 and 22 are provided with eight each of arms 21a and 22a extended radially and are engaged with both ends 24a and 24b of the plate spring 24. The engagement is loose in the connection with an engaging pawl and allows circumferential oscillation of a tube 1 within a range of chattering thereof. The support bar 23 is somewhat energized outward radially with the plate spring 24 and the plate springs 21 and 22 and further done with the coil spring 25 outward in a radial way. In this manner, a roller 14 of the probe 2 is pressed securely on the inner wall of the tube.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the welding work and strongly weld with not less welding metals by projecting a convex curved surface part on the pipe penetration part of a mirror part and welding the open peripheral edge thereof and a pipe, in case of welding a pipe with its penetration to the mirror part in the spherical part of a container. CONSTITUTION:In case of fitting plural metal pipes 2 by welding with penetration in parallel each other to the whole face of the mirror part 1 formed on the spherical part of a metal container, the convex curved surface part 8 formed with a hollow spherical seat on the inner lining material 5 of the container is provided with projection at the position where the pipe 2 of the mirror part 1 is penetrated. The pipe 2 is welded at a weld zone 7 by penetrating the pipe 2 through this part 8. In this case, the centers O, Q of the mirror part 1 and convex curved surface part 8 are made optional and the angle alpha formed by the pipe 2 and convex curved surface 8 is not constant around the pipe 2 but the shape becomes simple. Or the curvature center Q of the convex curved surface is placed on the axial line of the pipe 2 or the cross point S of the axial line of the pipe 2 and the surface of the mirror part 1. In this way the welding of the mirror part 1 and pipe 2 becomes extremely easy.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing heavy metals from the contaminated soil at a low cost by making effective use of electrical energy while restraining the erosion of an electrode.
      SOLUTION: This contaminated soil decontaminating method is used for removing contaminants in the wet contaminated soil 11 by arranging electrodes 4, 5 in the soil 11 at the prescribed intervals and applying an electric current between the electrodes 4, 5. The waveform of the electric current to be applied is made to be a rectangular waveform, a sinusoidal waveform, a pulse waveform, a sawlike waveform or a triangular waveform. The current-integrated value in the positive period of the voltage of the applied electric current, which changes between the positive region and the negative region with time, is made equal to that in the negative period or the difference between them (the current- integrated value in the positive period minus that in the negative period) is made to be a positive value.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shooting practicing device which enables a trainee to carry out a shooting practice efficiently, wherein the trainee can carry out the shooting practice in a condition which is close to an actual situation where one receives an attack from a culprit who moves in a zigzag manner or dodges about. SOLUTION: In a shooting practice device, a target carriage 9 is suspended from a track rail 11 mounted on a ceiling 14 of a firing range. A target 2 is mounted on the target carriage 9 by way of a target support strut 8. At one end of the track rail 11, a carriage drive device 13 is disposed and the target carriage 9 is connected to this carriage drive device 13 by means of a wire rope 12. The target carriage 9 incorporates a mechanism which moves the target 2 in a left or right direction and a bobbing mechanism which rotates the target support strut 8. The target carriage 9 can be moved in a front or backward direction relative to a shooter 1 by towing the wire rope 12, while the target 2 can be moved in a left or right direction. Such a movement of the target 2 in a front or backward direction as well as in a left or right direction, the stoppage of the target 2, the moving speed of the target 2, and the bobbing timing of the target 2 are arbitrarily controlled.
