    • PURPOSE:To lower an unburnt component in an exhaust gas without raising the temperature of a furnace by setting an amount of air of a sub air port provided between main air ports based on a flow rate of a jet flow of a burner and a spiral force of the burner. CONSTITUTION:In an air port through which air for combustion is blown in on the downstream of a burner 2 which makes a burning below a theoretical air for making up for the shortage thereof, sub air ports 4 each with a smaller diameter thereof than main air ports 3 are provided between the main air ports or at least one or more thereof are provided between the main air ports and side walls or at both thereof to build a furnace 1. Then, the sub air ports 4 are provided with a flow rate adjusting function, an jetting direction adjusting function and moreover, a spiral generation function. The distribution or adjustment of the air ports is performed in correspondence to a flow rate distribution of a burner jet flow, a direction of turning the uppermost stage burner or a product of the direction of turning and a flow rate of the burner flow rate. This enables the lowering of an unburnt component in an exhaust gas without raising the temperature of a furnace.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce greatly the consumption of heat and electic power by mainly heating the fresh water side of desalting intermediate stage in electrodialysis chamber in the manufacture of fresh water from sea water. CONSTITUTION:The sea water from the pipe line 1 is sent to the electrodialysis tank 4 by dividing it into two flow paths, a desalination side and a fresh water side, semi-desalted water comint through the fresh wate side desalting chambers 7 and 8 is extracted from the extraction pipe 14 and then heat-exchanged with heated fresh water in the heat recoverer 5C. Then, the semi-desalted water is heated by the heater 6 and then introduced into the third desalting chamber 9 to lower the electric resistance value of fresh water. The bline concentrated in the concentrating chambers 10-12 and by the diaphragm 13 is obtained from the pipe 3, and also fresh water is obtained from the pipe 2. In comparison with the conventional method in which the whole amount of the sea water is heated, this method reduces the heat quantity required to heat the sea water to approx. half, and also since only the fresh side where electric resistance value at the time of electrification is much greater is heated, the lowering of the resistance value can be greatly reduced and therefore the consumption of electric power can be greatly reduced.
