SOLUTION: In the start clutch device 11, the starting clutch 10 is provided with an inner friction plate 13, an outer friction plate 14, and a piston 20 fit oil-tightly to the housing 2 so as to apply pressure to the friction plates 13 and 14. A damper device 121 has one end connected to a clutch hub 16 supporting the inner friction plate 13, and the other end connected to a boss 30, and is axially aligned with starting clutch 10. The housing 2 is provided with a large diameter housing part A on one side, and a small diameter housing part B on the other side, and the damper device 121 is housed in the large diameter housing part A, and the starting clutch 10 and a hydraulic actuator 11 are arranged in the small diameter housing part B. The connection plate is constructed as one unit with the clutch hub and includes a cylindrical hub part 36b on an inner circumference surface. The boss includes a cylindrical outer circumference surface 30a supporting the hub part and a flange part 30b projecting to an outer diameter direction at an axial direction one end part on an outer circumference surface.       SOLUTION: A first element of a double planetary gear is connected with an input element of a single planetary gear connected directly with an input shaft through a third clutch or is fixed by first brake. A second element is connected with a speed increasing element rotated by increasing speed of rotation of the input shaft through a second clutch or is fixed by second brake. A third element is directly connected with an output shaft. A fourth element is directly connected with an intermediate shaft connectable with an input element through a first clutch. The intermediate shaft is constituted by fitting one end into an intermediate member supported on the input shaft to rotate relatively and connected directly with the speed increasing element coaxially to prevent relative rotation, supporting the other end on the output shaft coaxially, and forming a lubricating oil passage for supplying lubricating oil to each part and a hydraulic fluid passage for supplying and discharging hydraulic fluid into/from a hydraulic servo part of the first clutch in the intermediate member by separating them from each other.
