    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary rotation of a snap tap to improve workability and to reduce cost by embedding a metal adaptor with an internal thread in the end connection of a metal snap tap, and thread-fastening an external thread formed at a resin snap tap, to the internal thread to integrate a saddle and the snap tap. SOLUTION: A saddle 16 has a metal adaptor 32 embedded in the upper part of a snap tap end connection 30, and an external thread 42a of a fitting opening 42 and an internal thread 38 of the metal adaptor 32 are thread-fastened to integrate the saddle 16 and a snap tap 18. In the case of branching a water supply pipe 14 from a pipe 12 using the snap tap 10 with the fused saddle, the saddle 16 is first positioned to the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 12 and fixed by a fixing member 24. A current is then applied to a heating body 22 of the saddle 16, and resin around the heating body 22 is heated and fused to fuse the saddle 16 and the pipe 12. A boring jig is inserted through the inside of the snap tap 18 to form a hole 12a in the pipe 12. The water supply pipe 14 is then connected to another fitting opening 44 of the snap tap 18 through joints 50, 52.

At the same time when winding around the outer surface of the insertion port A reduced in size along the tapered inner bottom is effected, a contact pressure with the tapered inner bottom 5A is increased and slip-out resistance force is produced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken execution of construction in repairing a water feed vertical pipe of a mutli-storied building, by removing an existing deteriorated vertical pipe and inserting a flexible synthetic resin pipe in the space, and connecting a lateral branch pipe to the flexible pipe. SOLUTION: Repairing of a water feed vertical pipe is to be performed within the predetermined amount of suspension time of water supply, taking the living circumstances of residents into consideration, and in the case where the time required for construction work is long, the construction work is separately conducted several times. At the time of construction, with a water feed valve 18 from an elevated tank and a stop cock of each floor closed, a drain valve 32 is opened, thereby discharging water in a water feed vertical pipe 12 (old pipe). Secondly, the old vertical pipe 12 extended to a designated floor is removed, and a new vertical pipe 40a formed of flexible synthetic resin is inserted in that space, and temporarily connected 46, 50 to the remaining old pipe through joints 44, 48. In this case, the new pipe 40a is wound like a coil to be easily transported and be easily inserted in the piping space. After the completion of construction work, the temporary connection 46, 50 are put to final connection. Thus, the construction work can be quickened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely maintain the water cut-off ability of a gasket long even if it is used for a pipe for soft water. SOLUTION: This gasket 10 is secured in the gasket containing section 28 of a saddle 16, one of components of a snap tap 14 with saddle. When the snap tap 14 with saddle is fixed to the outer face of a pipe 12, a lip section 44 is pressed against the outer face of the pipe 12, closing a groove 42. Since even in this case, each protruded section 46 formed on the inner face of the groove 42 functions as a spacer, space is always secured in the groove 42. Since a plurality of the protruded section 46 are spacedly formed, an opening port is secured between protruded sections 46. Therefore, during water passing, water enters the deep section of the groove 42 through opening ports, water pressure acts on the top face of the lip section 44. Since through this constitution, force to press the lip section 44 against the outer face of the pipe 12 can be compensated by making water pressure work on the top face of the lip section 44, surface pressure can be reduced by setting the compression margin of the gasket 10 small. Therefore, the deformation of the pipe 12 with the passage of time caused by the restoring force of the gasket 120 can be prevented, and water cut-off ability can be maintained long.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rapid processing of a polyolefin pipe to eliminate a returning deformation and also enhance the accuracy of a bent angle to stabilize the set angle permanently by fabricating the polyolefin pipe by bending the heated part of the pipe at a larger angle than an intended angle after heating the pipe at an softening temperature and again heating the part in an unrestrained state. SOLUTION: The center zone 1A of a polyolefin pipe 1 is heated by a heater at close to 130 deg.C which is a melt point temperature and this heated part 1A is insetted in a mold 2. Further, a bending angle θ at the mold 2 is set at 60 deg. so that an intended bending angle θ is, for example, set at 90 deg. to manufacture a bent pipe 3. Next, the polyolefin pipe 1 is once cooled in such a state that the pipe 1 is insetted in the mold 2, and is removed from the mold 2. After that, the pipe 1 is continuously soaked in a hot water at 60 deg.C for 12 hours. During soaking, the bent pipe 3 is gradually restored to a deformed shape, and after the lapse of about 12 hours, the deformation process comes to a stop to stabilize the shape. In this case, the reheating temperature is at such a high level as exceeding a maximum temperature which is conceivable under circumstances allowing the use of the polyolefin pipe 1. Thus it is possible to perform the thermal treatment rapidly and enhance the accuracy of the bending angle θ.
