    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collection apparatus which uses a mechanism having a relatively simple structure and not affecting dust recovery, enables dust-collecting operation under such conditions that the negative pressure of the dust collector is equal to that of the inside of the dust collection bag, prevents floating of the lid during dust-collecting operation and allows incorporating a capture container smoothly into the dust collector without being disturbed by the operation lever.
      SOLUTION: The dust collection apparatus is constructed so as to recover the dust DS collected by the dust collector 1 into the dust collection bag 30 in the capture container 20 and take the dust collection bag 30 out of the apparatus for disposal. The top-end opening of the dust collection bag 30 is kept opened with a ring 31, and the ring 31 attached to the top-end opening of the dust collection bag 30 is fixed to the bottom surface of the lid and the inside surface of the capture container at specified intervals.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic filter having low pressure loss, high dust collecting efficiency and practically sufficient strength and durability.
      SOLUTION: The ceramic filter is manufactured by depositing a composition containing aggregate particles and binder particles on the surface of a porous base material and heat treating the composition to form one or more layers of porous surface layers. In this method, ≥70 mass% of the aggregate particles have the particle diameter in the range from 70 to 130% of the average diameter of the aggregate particles. The average particle diameter is larger than the average pore diameter of the porous base material and less than double of it. The condition for the above heat treatment is ≥900°C.
