    • PURPOSE: A 3D depth information obtaining device and a method thereof are provided to rapidly obtain a depth map indicating distance information regardless of the existence of a feature point in a space where a user freely moves by using a 2D pseudo-random coding scheme or a pseudo-random coding scheme and an infrared light source. CONSTITUTION: A 3D depth information obtaining device comprises a pattern projection unit(100), an image obtaining unit(200), and a calculation unit(300). The pattern projecting unit projects lights radiated from an infrared light source to a space. The image obtaining unit uses a camera, thereby obtaining images corresponding to patterns. The calculation unit extracts the patterns from the images and analyzes an extracted result, thereby calculating 3D distance information of objects existing in the inside the space.

    • A method and a system controlling the power of a sense network according to an event are provided to increase the power efficiency of a sensor network by controlling the operation of sensor node according to the events classified by an application layer. An event classification unit(101) analyzes the events occurring on an application layer to classify the events, and the events are classified to at least one category of an event type, a data size and a data duplication and a real-time characteristic. An operation setting unit(102) sets up the operations of a sensor node that senses the event according to the classified event. A node control unit(103) controls the sensor node based on the setup operation, and manages the power of the sensor network related to the sensor node by controlling the active and sleep modes of the sensor node according to the reporting time of the predicted event.

CONSTITUTION: An asset tracking device(200) based on a USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) includes a motion sensing managing unit(201), a filtering unit(203), and a location information update managing unit(205). The motion sensing managing unit receives motion sensing information from a sensor. The filtering unit filters the motion sensing information based on a filtering parameter. The filtering unit determines to generate motion based on the filtered motion sensing information. The location information update managing unit updates location information according to whether to generate the motion.
