    • A catalytic conversion method of increasing the yield of lower olefin. A hydrocarbon oil and a catalytic conversion catalyst being contacted and reacted in a catalytic convesion reactor comprising one or more reaction sections. The hydrocarbon oil raw material is subjected to a catalytic conversion reaction in the presence of a inhibitor. A reaction oil gas containing or not containing the inhibitor is separated from a carbon-deposited catalyst after the reaction, wherein the reaction oil gas is separated to give a target product containing ethylene and propylene, and the carbon-deposited catalyst is returned to be used in the reaction section after being stripped and regenerated. This method can reduce a reconversion secondary reaction level of the lower olefin such as ethylene, propylene et al. to 50-70% of its original one after the lower olefin is produced, thereby increasing the yield of the target product. The yield of ethylene is as high as 8.73 weight percent, and the yield of propylene is as high as 29.60 weight percent when vacuum gas oil is used as the raw material, increasing the yield by 14.4 percent and 26.6 percent respectively as compared to the case when there are not used the inhibitors.
