    • A variable capacity compressor is provided to prevent shortage of lubricant inside a pressure control chamber by precluding the lubricant from overflowing to a suction chamber via a discharge path. A variable capacity compressor comprises a cam main body, a piston(24), a supply path(27), a discharge path(31), and an on/off valve(30). The cam main body formed inside a pressure control chamber(121) changes an inclined angle of the cam main body according to the pressure inside the pressure control chamber. The piston is reciprocated inside a cylinder bore(111) according to the rotation of the cam main body. The supply path supplies refrigerant in a discharge pressure area such as a discharge chamber(132) to the pressure control chamber. The discharge path discharges the refrigerant in the pressure control chamber to a suction pressure area such as a suction chamber(131). The on/off valve selectively opens and closes the discharge path by responding with the temperature variation of the on/off valve. The on/off valve, made of a bimetal, closes the discharge path when the temperature of the on/off valve is more than predetermined temperature.

    • A variable capacitance compressor is provided to maintain a proper amount of lubricant in a control pressure chamber by forming an intake hole in a rotary shaft and forming a communication passage around a through hole of a swash plate. A variable capacitance compressor comprises a housing(12), a rotary shaft(15), a rotation support body(22) and a swash plate(24) connected to the rotation support body. A shaft-inside discharge passage(15b) is formed in the rotary shaft to form a part of a discharge passage. An intake hole(16d) is formed at a side of the rotation support body in a control pressure chamber(C). At least one of the swash plate and the rotary shaft has a communication passage(46). The intake hole is opened toward a front area(C2) in a side of the rotation support body between the swash plate and the rotation support body while communicating with the shaft-inside discharge passage. The communication passage allows the front area to communicate with a rear area(C1) in a side of the rotation support body.

    • A displacement control valve for a clutchless type variable displacement compressor is provided to guarantee control of a flow rate of refrigerant passing through a valve hole in a control area and secure a flow rate of refrigerant passing through the valve hole in minimum capacity operation, thereby making lubrication in a compressor sufficiently. A displacement control valve for a clutchless type variable displacement compressor includes a first port(55) connected to a discharge pressure area, and a second port(57) connected to a control pressure chamber, wherein the first and second ports are connected by a refrigerant path having a valve hole(54). A reciprocating element(70) has a valve element(72) for opening or closing the valve hole. The reciprocating element has a first axial part(71) formed with the valve element, and a second axial part(75) having a same axial line with the first one and inserted into the valve hole. A pressure sensing element(62) moves the reciprocating element in a predetermined direction for opening the valve hole according to pressure of the discharge pressure area. A solenoid(66) presses the reciprocating element in a predetermined direction to close the valve hole. The first axial part is positioned in the vicinity of the solenoid and the second one is connected to the pressure sensing element. The second axial part and the valve hole form a path for free refrigerant flow. A throttle part(76) is formed between the first and second axial parts with the same axial line with the same. A flow rate of the path is restrained by the throttle part which has a diameter at an end larger than that of the second axial part.
