    • A drive shaft (16) has a first swash plate (18) integrally and rotatably connected thereto. The first swash plate (18) has a one-headed piston (23) moored thereto through shoes (25A, 25B). The rotation of the first swash plate (18) accompanying the rotation of the drive shaft (16) causes the piston (23) to linearly reciprocate, whereby refrigerant gas is compressed. A second swash plate (51) in the form of an annulus is relatively rotatably supported by the first swash plate (18) through a ball bearing (52). The second swash plate (51) is disposed between the first swash plate (18) and the shoe (25B) at the compression load-receiving side, in such a manner that the plate (51) is slidable with respect to the first swash plate (18) and shoe (25B). Therefore, smooth slide is ensured between the first and second swash plates.

    • A refrigerant compressor is provided to reduce the size of an oil separator by removing a necessity of maintaining a long incoming path of a refrigerant gas. A refrigerant compressor includes a front housing, a rear housing(14), and an oil separator(50). The rear housing includes an inclusion hole along a front and rear direction forming part of a connecting path(49) and an outlet path. The inclusion hole includes a first pedestal(37a) and a second pedestal(37b). The first pedestal is formed facing inside at circumference of near center along the front and rear direction of the inclusion hole. The second pedestal is formed with a smaller diameter than the first pedestal at rear of the first pedestal. The oil separator is formed in the inclusion hole and separates oil from gas. The oil separator is connected to an outlet chamber and connects to an entrance of a gas cooler of an external refrigerant circuit through the connecting path. The refrigerant gas discharged from the outlet chamber is supplied to the external refrigerant circuit through the oil separator.

    • A variable displacement swash plate type compressor, wherein a first swash plate (18) is connected to a drive shaft (16) so as to be rotated integrally with each other and double-head pistons (23) are anchored to the first swash plate (18) through shoes (25A) and (25B). Sloped faces (chamfered parts) are formed at the projected corner parts (18b) and (18c) of the first swash plate (18). Accordingly, the durability of the swash plates and the shoes can be increased.
