    • The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a catalyst system suitable for olefin polymerization, wherein the process comprises the steps of: A) providing said procatalyst obtainable via a process comprising the steps of: i) contacting a compound R4 zMgX4 2-z with an alkoxy- or aryloxy-containing silane compound to give a first intermediate reaction product, ii) optionally contacting the solid product obtained in step i) with at least one activating compound selected from the group formed of activating electron donors and metal alkoxide compounds; iii) contacting the first or second intermediate reaction product, obtained respectively in step i) or ii), with a halogen-containing Ti-compound and optionally an internal electron donor to obtain said procatalyst; B) contacting said procatalyst with a co-catalyst and the at least diethylaminotriethoxysilane as the external donor. Moreover, the present invention relates to a catalyst system obtained or obtainable by the process of the present invention and to a process for preparing a polyolefin by contacting at least one olefin with the catalyst system according to the invention. In addition, the present invention relates to a polyolefin obtained or obtainable by the process for preparing a polyolefin according to the present invention and to a composition comprising a propylene-ethylene copolymer and a shaped article thereof. In addition, the invention relates to the use of said polyolefin.

    • The present invention relates to a catalyst system comprising a procatalyst, a co-catalyst and an external electron donor, wherein the external electron donor comprises a compound having the structure according to Formula I': Si (L) n (OR 11 ) 4-n-m (R 12 ) m wherein, Si is a silicon atom with valency 4+; O is an oxygen atom with valency 2- and O is bonded to Si via a silicon-oxygen bond; n is 1, 2, 3 or 4; m is 0, 1, 2 or 3 n+m≤4 each R 11 group is independently selected from the group consisting of linear, branched and cyclic alkyl having at most 20 carbon atoms and aromatic substituted and unsubstituted hydrocarbyl having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; each R 12 group is independently selected from the group consisting of linear, branched and cyclic alkyl having at most 20 carbon atoms and aromatic substituted and unsubstituted hydrocarbyl having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; each L group is independently a group represented by the following structure, Formula II, wherein, L is bonded to the silicon atom via the nitrogen-silicon bond; L has a single substituent on the nitrogen atom, where this single substituent is an imine carbon atom; and X and Y are independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom; a heteroatom selected from group 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17 of the lUPAC Periodic Table of the Elements; a linear, branched and cyclic alkyl having at most 20 carbon atoms, optionally containing a heteroatom selected from group 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17 of the lUPAC Periodic Table of the Elements and an aromatic substituted and unsubstituted hydrocarbyl having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, optionally containing a heteroatom selected from group 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17 of the lUPAC Periodic Table of the Elements.
