摘要： A body part of a rotation detecting sensor of a rotation number detector which is provided on a bearing apparatus for an axle has a large diameter part formed in its upper part and a small diameter part formed in its lower part, and at the same time, a sensor fitting hole part which is formed in an outer ring of a bearing part and into which the body part of the rotation detecting sensor is inserted is so formed that an radially outer part thereof has an inner diameter substantially equal to an outer diameter of the large diameter part of the body part, and a lower part thereof has an inner diameter slightly larger than an outer diameter of the small diameter part of the body part.

摘要： An axle bearing apparatus includes a hub shaft for common use with a driving wheel bearing apparatus and a driven wheel bearing apparatus, the hub shaft including an axle-mounting flange formed at its outer end portion, and a cylindrical portion formed at an inner side of the flange and having a through hole formed in a center portion of the cylindrical portion, and a bearing portion press-fitted on the cylindrical portion of the hub shaft and including an inner ring, an outer ring and rolling elements disposed between the inner and outer rings. The hub shaft is used for the driven wheel bearing apparatus, and alternatively the through hole in the hub shaft is enlarged in diameter, and a spline are formed axially in an inner surface of the diameter-enlarged through hole, and the hub shaft thus processed is used for the driving wheel bearing apparatus.

The inner ring includes a first inner ring member that has the first inner raceway surface and the ring mounting surface and a second inner ring member that has the second inner raceway surface and a portion that is spaced apart in an axial direction from the second inner raceway surface toward one side at a distance that is longer than or equal to a distance in the axial direction between the first inner raceway surface and the ring mounting surface. A diameter of the portion is smaller than a diameter of the ring mounting surface.
