    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow cell capable of enhancing sensitivity for the fluorescence measurement of fluid.
      SOLUTION: Excitation light 103 of a selected wavelength that is emitted from an excitation monochromator is guided along the longitudinal axis of the flow cell 100 that includes a sample for analysis. An emission monochromator is disposed at right angles to the surface of the excitation monochromator and receives fluorescence from the flow cell 100 that uses an optical component disposed such that the entrance slit of the emission monochromator aligns with the longitudinal axis of an exit window. Further, the strength of output from the flow cell 100 is maximized by positioning at the end of a flow channel a retroreflecting mirror that efficiently doubles the optical path length of an excitation beam, and disposing a reflecting surface on the opposite side to the exit window of the cell for increased efficiency of collecting light and for increased sensitivity of a detector.
