摘要： Hair curling devices having retractable teeth and a heated barrel around which hair is coiled to impart a curl to the hair comprises a comb or a row of teeth extend radially out from the barrel to trap the ends of a length of hair so that it can be curled around the barrel and means are provided to retract the teeth or comb to within the periphery of the barrel so that the hair can be released the end of a curling operation. In this way the barrel can slide axially out from the coiled hair so that uncurling of the curl can be largely avoided.

摘要： Electrical welding process and device using intersecting, electrically contacting welding elements are disclosed. The intersecting welding elements are powered out of phase from each other, such that there is no short circuiting around the welding elements being heated and no electrical insulation is needed between intersecting welding elements. Current directors can be used to alternatingly direct the current through the intersecting welding elements. The process and device can be used to weld various workpieces, including thermoplastic binders and folders.

摘要： A cleaning apparatus includes a working housing for receiving objects to be cleaned, a receptacle for supplying a pressurized fluid to the working housing, and a pump for pumping the pressurized fluid into the working housing, for removing releasing agents or solutions from the objects. A control valve is coupled between the pump and the working housing, to selectively close the working housing after the pressurized fluid has been pumped and supplied into the working housing to a predetermined pressure, and maintained within the working housing for a predetermined time interval. The agents or solutions may be removed from the objects after the pressurized fluid is drained out of the working housing.
