    • The present invention relates to a method for identifying at least one microorganism in a sample, comprising the following steps: a) providing a sample; b) isolating nucleic acids present in the sample; c) bringing the isolated nucleic acids in contact with at least one probe, which binds to the 16S rRNA and/or 18S rNA gene of the nucleic acid of the at least one microorganism to be identified and is selected from the group consisting of the nucleic acid sequences SEQ ID no. 1 to 831, or the reverse-complementary sequences thereof, wherein the at least one probe is immobilized on a solid carrier; d) detecting a bond of the isolated nucleic acid with the at least one probe, and e) identifying a microorganism in the sample by correlating the detected bond of the isolated nucleic acids with the immobilized probes using the microorganisms listed in table A.

    • Disclosed is a method for identification of microbial pathogens in a body fluid sample comprising the following steps: a) providing a body fluid sample; b) lysing the microbial pathogens and performing a nucleic acid amplification reaction on the microbial DNA encoding 16S or 18S rRNA wherein or whereafter the amplified nucleic acids are labelled; c) contacting the labelled amplified nucleic acids of step b) with a microarray comprising on defined areas on the microarray's surface immobilised probes for microbial DNA encoding 16S or 18S rRNA from microbial pathogens; d) detecting the binding of one or more species of the labelled amplified nucleic acids to a probe by detecting a labelled amplified nucleic acid being specifically bound to the microarray; and e) identifying a microbial pathogen in the body fluid sample by correlating the detected binding of the labelled amplified nucleic acids with the defined areas of the immobilised probes for microbial DNA encoding 16S or 18S rRNA from microbial pathogens.

    • Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Identifizierung mindestens eines Mikroorganismus in einer Probe umfassend die Schritte: a) Bereitstellen einer Probe; b) Isolierung von in der Probe enthaltenen Nukleinsäuren; c) Inkontaktbringen der isolierten Nukleinsäuren mit mindestens einer Sonde, die an das 16S rRNA- und/oder 18S rRNA-Gen der Nukleinsäure des mindestens einen zu identifizierenden Mikroorganismus bindet, und ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus den Nukleinsäuresequenzen SEQ ID Nr. 1 bis 831 oder deren revers-komplementären Sequenzen wobei die mindestens eine Sonde an einem festen Träger immobilisiert ist; d) Nachweisen einer Bindung der isolierten Nukleinsäure an die mindestens eine Sonde und e) Identifizieren eines Mikroorganismus in der Probe durch Korrelieren der nachgewiesenen Bindung der isolierten Nukleinsäuren mit den immobilisierten Sonden mit den in Tabelle A angeführten Mikroorganismen.
