A chronological profile of the relevance measure is determined by repeatedly determining the relevance measure.

A quotient from the overlap duration and the total duration is calculated and compared with a predetermined threshold separating a valid area from an invalid area. The motion is recognized as an operating motion having a valid motion direction if the quotient is in the valid area.
