    • PURPOSE:To drill a pit in sandy layer without roughening the pit by a method in which a cam provided to the basal end of a tamping ram loosely provided to the outer tube of the drilling tube is coupled with the corresponding cam of the outer tube, and a wedge body is provided to the tip of the ram in a not- turning but forwarding manner. CONSTITUTION:While being turned, a drilling tube 4 is penetrated into the ground to be improved under a static pressure applied. When the ground is hard, a wedge body 23 is pressed into the outer tube 13 under the soil pressure against a spring, and the drilling of a pit is made by a bit 12. When a sand and gravel layer is reached, the soil pressure is lowered, and the sedge body 23 is projected to the front side of the bit 12 by means of a spring. At the same time, a claw body 22 is penetrated into the sand and gravel layer to stop the sotation of the outer tube and the ram 14 is also stopped through a stopper bolt 24. The cam 18 fixed to the outer tube 14 acts on the cam 16 of the ram 14 to move it vertically and continuously in the direction of arrow. A pit is drilled without roughening the pit while tamping the sand and gravel layer 27.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the influence of a change in the ground nature resulting from the injection of chemical liquid, by a method wherein an isolating wall, consisting of curing type columnar objects, is built outside a ground improving work area.
CONSTITUTION: Excavation holes 5 are excavated to a given depth in the opposite sides of an area 19, where the ground is improved through pouring of a medical liquid, so that a muddy water 13 including earth and sand, produced at an excavating time, is cycled to and from a muddy water tank 7. Immediately before and after excavating is completed, the excavation holes 5 are filled with curing muddy water, obtained through the mixture of cement and lime with a part of the muddy water 13, so that it can be replaced by an unprocessed muddy water 13 in the holes, and this forms serial walls 3 consisting of curing type columnar objects 4. A medical liquid is then poured into a ground improving area 1 partitioned with the serial walls 3.

    • PURPOSE:To detect the strength of concrete after hardening at the time when the concrete is not yet hardened by a method wherein electric resistance between a pair of electrodes arranged in the fresh concrete is measured and then compared with the data of electric resistance values which were obtained on samples. CONSTITUTION:Double-operated earth augers 31, 32 are inserted in the objective ground 2, so that cement milk 6 is jetted from the distal ends of suger shafts 41, 42 while crushing earth and sand 1, thereby to agitate and mix the cement milk 6 with the earth and sand 1 using blades 5. Electric resistances between electrodes 71-73 and 7a-7c which are provided on the corresponding shafts 41, 42 with constant intervals are measured through power sources 9 and gauges 10. Meanwhile, the data of electric resistance values are previously obtained on the ground using samples as close as to actual ones. This data is compared with the actual measured values to detect the strength of the cement after hardening.

    • PURPOSE:To control the leak loss of grout to a minimum during the stoppage of ground stabilization work by a method in which it is detected whether grout leaks to the outside of a given injection range based on the variation in the electric resistance values of an underground conductor interposed between an electrode inside the injection nozzle and an electrode inside a monitoring hole. CONSTITUTION:A monitoring well 13 for leakage of grout is provided in the outside area of a given grout injection range 12 centered on a grout injection hole 11, and monitoring holes 141 and 142 are drilled in the inside area of the monitoring well 13 and also in the outside area of the grout injection range 12. Electrodes 171 and 176 and an electrode 16 are set in the monitoring holes 141 and 142 and the grout injection hole 11, respectively. It is detected whether grout leaks to the outside of the given injection range 12 from the variation in the electric resistance values of an underground conductor interposed the electrode 16 in the injection hole and the electrodes 171 and 176 in the monitoring holes. The leakage of grout can thus be rapidly verified at the stage before the reaching of grout to the monitoring well 13 and necessary step can be quickly taken. Therefore, the leak of grout can be controlled to a minimum when the work is stopped.
