摘要： This invention pertains to silicone gel forming compositions that have an average RHAIk of 0.7 to 1.5, typically 0.8 to 0.95 and with an average RH CE of 0.4 to 1, typically 0.8 to 0.95 and the silicone gels produced by curing the gel forming composition. These gels are suitable for temporarily adhering a medical device to a biological substrate such as skin. The silicone gels provide high adhesion to skin and low peel release force from polyethylene substrate.

摘要： A silicone adhesive composition used for adhering a device or a substance to a wet surface contains (i) a silicone resin that is cohydrolysis product of a trialkyl hydrolyzable silane and an alkyl silicate in which the cohydrolysis product contains a plurality of silicon-bonded hydroxy groups; (ii) a linear organopolysiloxane fluid containing terminal silicon-bonded hydroxy groups having a viscosity above 200,000 mm 2 / s at 25 o C; (iii) a trialkylsiloxy terminated polyorganosiloxane fluid having a viscosity of 100,000-600,000 mm 2 / s at 25 o C; (iv) a water soluble muco-adhesive polymer selected from the group consisting of a poly(ethylene oxide) polymer having a molecular weight of 100,000 to 8,000,000, an acrylic acid polymer having a molecular weight of 500,000 to 4,500,000,000, and a hydroxyethylcellulose polymer having a molecular weight of 90,000 to 1,300,000,000; and optionally, (v) a solvent selected from the group consisting of aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, volatile linear and cyclic silicone compounds. Other components such as a silicone polyether, a silicone wax, a drug, an excipient, and/or an active ingredient can also be included.

摘要： This invention relates to a method of enhancing the adhesion of a silicone containing adhesive formulation. The method comprises mixing 1 to 99.9 wt. % of a silicone-containing adhesive formulation and 0.1 to 50 wt. % antiperspirant compound to form a composition. The composition is then applied onto a surface and allowed to cure. The invention also relates to a composition comprising 1 to 99.9 wt. % of a silicone-containing adhesive formulation and 0.1 to 50 wt. % antiperspirant salt. The resultant adhesive films are especially useful in healthcare and cosmetic applications where they inhibit perspiration and, thus, retain the adhesive strength of the adhesive.

摘要： An active agent delivery dispersion includes water, 1 to 98 weight percent of a plurality of encapsulated particles dispersed in the water, and 0.1 to 20 weight percent of an active agent, each based on a total weight of the dispersion. The active agent is dispersed in the water independently from the plurality of encapsulated particles. Each of the particles includes a core and a layer including a silica disposed about the core. The plurality includes first and second populations of encapsulated particles. The core of the first population includes a first organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups per molecule and a hydrosilylation catalyst. The core of the second population includes an organohydrogensiloxane having an average of greater than two silicon bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule and a second organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups per molecule.
