摘要： A system for detachable mounting a component onto a printed circuit board comprises a printed circuit board having a through-hole, a compression spring constructed from, or coated with, an electrically conductive material, and a component having an electrical contact thereon. The compression spring having a first end of a diameter larger than the diameter of the through-hole, and a second end smaller than the diameter of the through-hole. The second end of the compression spring passes through the through-hole and is secured at its first end to the first side of the printed circuit board. The second end of the compression spring protrudes beyond the second side of the printed circuit board. When the component is placed against the second side of the printed circuit board, the compression spring is compressed and the desired electrical connection is formed.

摘要： A regenerative burner device for a furnace and a method of removing contaminants from such a device. The burner device includes a burner for introducing heat and waste gas into a furnace during ignition when supplied with fuel and a combustion gas, a media bed comprising refractory particles, and ducting for delivering combustion gas to said burner during ignition, and for drawing waste gas from said furnace on termination of ignition. The ducting causes the combustion gas and the waste gas to pass in succession through the media bed. Means are provided for periodically delivering a rapid flow of a decontaminating gas into said media bed. The rapid flow is of sufficient force to dislodge contaminants collected in the media bed from said waste gas.

Preferably the photochromic body (11,41) is optically neutral (grey) and contains a silver halide as a photochromically active substance. Preferably the mask-forming exposure is performed separately from the photographic exposure of a recording medium through the original and the mask, by a different light source (27). The optical contrast range of the mask can be varied in response to the optical contrast range of the original by varying the amount of the mask-forming exposure. This variation is preferably effected by varying the number of flashes of the light source (27).The photochromic body is preferably incorporated in the holder (1,33) for the transparent original.Photographic reproduction apparatus may include an automatic densitometer, the output of which controls the amount of the mask-forming exposure.

摘要： An electromagnetic coil assembly particularly suited for use in high-acceleration impact devices includes an inner hub having a flat metal and dielectric strip wound thereabout to form a coil, and an outer body mounted about the inner hub against one side of the coil. Inner and outer coil leads are formed by flat 90° bends of the inner and outer ends of the coil strip, such that the coil leads extend axially away from the coil toward one end of the coil assembly. Recesses are formed in the end faces of the inner hub and outer body at this end of the assembly, and the coil leads are folded into these recesses and attached by lug connectors to a pair of electrical conductors that lead out the side of the coil assembly. The coil leads and conductors are secured in the recesses, preferably by potting them in place.
