摘要： The present invention relates to a device (10, 110, 210) for sampling sample material for an analyte, comprising: a receiving swab (15, 115, 215, 315), wherein at least a portion (20, 120, 220) of the receiving swab is compressible; a sensor (25, 125, 225) for sensing the analyte; and a casing (30, 130, 230), wherein the casing at least partially encloses the receiving swab and the sensor and allows for a transfer of sample material received by the receiving swab to the sensor along a transfer path (35, 135, 235) inside of the casing; wherein the compressible portion (20, 120, 220) of the receiving swab is located inside the casing, wherein by compressing the compressible portion the transfer path is closable towards the outside of the device. The height (h) of the at least one structure (24) is higher than zero and lower or equal to a distance (z) of the labeled target moieties (32) from the sensor surface (23) corresponding to a signal cross-over point (27) from positive to negative signal contribution of the labeled target moieties (32) to the sensor signal, the signal cross-over point (27) being the distance at which a homogeneous distribution of magnetic or magnetizable objects (33) between the sensor surface (23) and that distance has a signal contribution to the sensor signal equal to zero.

摘要： A system and method is described wherein components of the reagent (4), e.g. labelled antibodies, are separated from the biologically active sensor surface (5) by depositing the reagent (4) on a carrier surface (3) distinct from the sensor surface (5) in the detection region (2), e.g. detection chamber. In this way, a high assay reproducibility is obtained. By allowing a short, well-defined and controlled, pre-incubation time between the particles of interest, e.g. drugs, in the sample fluid (20) and the reagent (4), the reproducibility will be increased, whereas the speed of the assay is guaranteed by having all components in one detection region (2), e.g. detection chamber.
