    • According to one embodiment, a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a data acquisition unit, an eddy magnetic field measuring unit and an imaging unit. The data acquisition unit is configured to acquire magnetic resonance signals at mutually different timings with applying a gradient magnetic field for generating an eddy magnetic field. The eddy magnetic field measuring unit is configured to acquire eddy magnetic field information including a time constant of the eddy magnetic field based on phase information of the magnetic resonance signals acquired at the timings. The imaging unit is configured to perform imaging under an imaging condition or a data processing condition according to the eddy magnetic field information.

    • Scanning operation of acquiring data by repeating a scan based on the same encoding pattern at least once by using an R wave occurring at time T0 as a trigger is executed with respect to all encoding patterns. The necessary number of data for image reconstruction are extracted from MR data acquired by temporally retrospecting from the R wave occurrence time (time T1) next to the R wave (time T0) used as the trigger on the basis of the obtained data, data acquisition time information, and the R wave time. The extracted data are then rearranged to generate a data set for imaging the movement of the heart which is associated with end-diastole after the occurrence of the R wave used as the trigger, thereby performing image reconstruction.

    • A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes a first acquiring unit, a second acquiring unit, and a combining unit. The first acquiring unit is configured to acquire data by executing a pulse sequence based on a first radio-frequency pulse transmission condition. The second acquiring unit is configured to acquire data by executing a pulse sequence based on a second radio-frequency pulse transmission condition that is different from the first radio-frequency pulse transmission condition. The combining unit is configured to perform a combining process either on the data acquired by the first acquiring unit and the data acquired by the second acquiring unit or on data obtained by reconstructing the data acquired by the first acquiring unit and data obtained by reconstructing the data acquired by the second acquiring unit.
