摘要： An assembly is provided for cleaning toner resin from the operating parts of a printing device. The assembly comprises a porous member impregnated with a silicone copolymer and a rigid member with a supporting base to mount said porous member. The assembly is preferably a two-part kit having a brush member for wiping components of the printing device and a pad member mountable for stationary positioning within said printing device for scrubbing components of the printing device as they move relative to the mounted pad. The silicone copolymer has the formula where x represents from about 98.8 molar percent to about 99.5 molar percent, y represents from about 0.5 molar percent to 1.2 molar percent and R comprises from about 70% by weight to about 100% by weight of a C15-C60 alkyl group and from about 0% by weight to about 30% by weight of a C2-C14 alkyl group.

摘要： An ink jet printer is provided comprising a housing, an ink jet printing apparatus and a coating apparatus. The ink jet printing apparatus is located within the housing and includes an ink jet printing device capable of ejecting ink droplets onto a first side of a printing substrate which moves through the housing along a printing substrate feed path. The coating apparatus is positioned along the printing substrate feed path and spaced from the printing device. The coating apparatus applies a substantially uniform layer of coating material onto at least a portion of the first side of the printing substrate.

The coating composition may include a reactive oligomer capable of radiation curing having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of greater than 1500. A reactive diluent may then be combined with the reactive oligomer, which diluent is also capable of radiation curing and which has a Mn of less than or equal to 1500. The reactive diluent may be present at a level of less than fifty percent by weight of the coating composition. The coating composition may be present at a solids level of 90-100%.

摘要： A process for dip coating, particularly vertical dip coating, the topcoat layer onto fuser belts used in electrophotographic processes is disclosed. In this process, a C1-C4 alkanol, such as isopropyl alcohol is added to the solvent system for the fluorocarbon topcoat layer. The use of alcohols in this way provides an efficient and effective method and a topcoat layer which is smooth, uniform and has a good finish.

摘要： This invention comprises a fuser belt (1) of polyimide incorporating surface-oxidized boron nitride. The resulting enhanced flexibility provides continuing strength without physical damage during use of the belt in a belt fuser while thermal conductivity is preserved. The extent of flexibility enhancement observed is dependent on the degree of oxidation. Therefore, oxidation temperature and time of oxidation are key variables that are used to control the degree of oxidation and thereby the resulting improvement in the flex fatigue.
