    • An air-bag housing comprising a rectangular frame (1) defining an opening and having a mounting arrangement in the form of flanges (7) to mount the frame in position within a motor vehicle. The frame supports a housing-forming element (21) formed, for example, of fabric. This forms a housing having walls (71, 72) and a floor. The walls (71, 72) are formed seamlessly by folding the fabric in half about a fold-line, and tucking one end of the fold-line into the other end of the fold-line, and inserting the frame between the pieces of fabric to lie adjacent the fold-line. The floor is formed by a plurality of floor-forming tabs (25, 26, 35, 36 etc) carried by the fabric forming the side-walls of the housing. The tabs are folded inwardly to at least partly overlie each other and are secured in position to form the floor of the housing by studs (15, 16, 17, 18) provided on the inflator which pass through co-aligned apertures (27, 30, 38, 39) in the floor-forming tabs (25, 26, 35, 36 etc).

    • In a circuit where a power converter (1) that is connected to a motor is also connected at its input terminals (2, 3) to a d.c. power supply system (U.sub.DC) and where at least one condenser (C) is connected in parallel to the power converter (1) connected to the motor and at least one line reactor (L) is connected in series to the condenser (C), a reduction in the harmonic currents fed back into the d.c. power supply system (U.sub.DC) by the power converter (1) connected to the motor above a predetermined minimum frequency is achieved without unnecessarily overdimensioning the condenser (C) and the line reactor (L) due to the fact that the line reactor (L) has at least one tapping point (4) to which at least one RC circuit (5) is connected in parallel to the condenser (C), where the RC circuit (5) has at least one capacitor (C.sub.1) and at least one resistor (R.sub.1) connected in series with it.

    • A fastening device for detachably fastening an automotive airbag component. The fastening device has a holding device (10), a connecting element (20) extending from a first end (21a) to a second end (22a), which, is normally connected to a fastening section of the holding device (10), and a pyrotechnic charge, which, on ignition, causes an end (22a) of the connecting element (20) to be detached from the fastening section. The holding device (10) has a bearing through which the connecting element (20) extends with a section spaced from the first end (21a). This bearing has at least two bearing surfaces (16a, 18a) separated differently from the fastening section and arranged on different sides of the connecting element, so that the separated section of the connecting element (20) can tilt in the bearing after the ignition of the pyrotechnic charge.
