摘要： A method, system and device are described for generating high-resolution flow-field data from sparse measurement data by interpolating from a reference database of pre-computed, highly-resolved fluid dynamic simulation results, to generate a highly-resolved set of flow field data which correspond to the sparse measurements. In one embodiment, the method, system and device use Principal Component Analysis techniques to interpolate the multidimensional fluid flow data. Applications of the invention are, amongst others, in the field of biomedical diagnosis involving fluid dynamic modeling of biological fluid systems such as blood flow in an artery.

The difference of pressure on the upper and lower faces of the valve 6 is set up by wire-drawing of steam past the valve, after this is nearly seated by the gear. Centrifugal governors.-A governor suitable for winding and other engines subject to occasional excessive loads is arranged to open the throttle in the ordinary manner up to normal full load, but above that to continue the opening at a constantly diminishing rate so as to keep the power approximately constant and thus reduce the amount of steam taken from the boiler. To effect this purpose, a spring resistance comes into play as the governor drops below the full-load position. Fig. 1 shows one construction in which the resistance is exerted by spring-pressed studs h situated in the governor weights a, the main governor springs not being shown. Fig. 3 shows a modified construction in which the studs h are mounted in carriers m pivoted to the weights a and abutting on springs o. The studs h are in this example so shaped as to slip off the fixed stops k when the speed falls very low, allowing the throttle to open wide.

The cover may be circular, oval or rectangular in plan and comprises a plurality of panel members (4), each member, which may be of glass-reinforced plastics and made in several sections if necessary, forming at least part of a sector of a circle. Each panel member (4) is provided with a flange (6) on edge portions, the flanges being used to join the panel members together along their radially extending sides. In order to provide boundary layer air control in the case of large area covers, the panel members (4) are stepped at (20). The cover may have a central aperture closable by a conventional lid (30).
