[Class 100 (i)] In connection with a mimeograph in which the printing frame 6 is lowered on to the top sheet of a pile to effect the printing, the printed sheets are automatically separated from the pile by means of a sliding friction pad 15 carried from a reciprocating block 3 by means of a lever 14, the block 3 being reciprocated by the movement of the frame 6 which is connected to the block 3 by means of a cord 41 passing over a pulley 5. A spring 8 and cord 4 return the block 3 and pad 15 to their initial position. When the frame is moved towards the pile for a further printing operation. The block 3 slides on a guide bar 2 provided at the front of the table supporting the pile, and is provided with arms 10 in which a lever 12 is pivoted, the lever 12 controlling the motion of the lever 14 which is also pivoted to the arms 10. The lever 14 is connected to a lever 13 which normally moves with the lever 12 owing to an adjustable spring connection 16, 71, 18 which causes the lever 13 to be depressed as the left end of lever 12 is raised by means of a sliding plate 20 which is operated by an adjustable camplate 25 with end ramps 24 , 24 . The cam engages a roller 21 on an arm 22 pivoted to the plate 20 and restrained by a pin as the block 3 is moved to the left by the opening of frame 6. When the pad 15 presses on the pile the lever 13 can move anticlockwise relatively to the lever 12. On further motion of the block 3 the pusher 15 moves the top sheet to the left into engagement with a conical roller 27 and two idler rollers 28 which complete the delivery of the printed sheets. The roller 22 is driven from the shaft of the pulley 5 by gearing including a one-way ballclutch. Sheet-holding devices 38, 39 prevent the sheets from rising with the frame 6, and a cam surface 44 attached to the block 3 lifts the holder 38 from the sheet during the separating action of the pusher 15. The holder is unaffected by the return motion of the block 3.

摘要： A developing device includes a developer bearer to carry, by rotation, developer to a developing range, a casing including a developer container to contain the developer and housing the developer bearer, a gap retainer adjacent to the developer container and downstream from the developing range in a rotation direction of the developer bearer, an opposing wall opposing an end face of the gap retainer in an axial direction of the developer bearer, a first seal disposed between the end face of the gap retainer and the opposing wall, and a contact portion disposed adjacent to an end portion of the gap retainer in the axial direction of the developer bearer. The gap retainer secures a predetermined gap between the developer bearer and the gap retainer. The contact portion contacts, via a second seal, the gap retainer in a direction intersecting the axial direction of the developer bearer.

摘要： A powder amount detector includes a vibration plate secured to a powder container to contain powder and positioned at a predetermined position in a stationary state, a shaft to rotate inside the powder container, a contact member attached to the shaft, a vibration detector to detect vibration of the vibration plate, and a detection result processor to determine an amount of the powder in the powder container according to a detection result generated by the vibration detector. The contact member is to flip the vibration plate to cause the vibration plate to repeat elastic deformation and reversion to vibrate. The contact member is to exit an area opposed to the vibration plate after the contact member flips the vibration plate by the time the vibration plate returns to the predetermined position.

摘要： A powder supply device that includes a powder reservoir including a rotator having a rotation shaft, to store powder supplied from a powder container; and a powder amount detector. The powder amount detector includes a detected member disposed in the powder reservoir, a contact member attached to the rotation shaft, to contact the detected member to vibrate or move the detected member, a detector to detect vibration or a displacement of the detected member, and a detection result processor to detect the amount of the powder in the powder reservoir based on detection by the detector. The powder supply device further includes a controller to supply the powder from the powder container to the powder reservoir based on detection by the powder amount detector. The controller rotates the rotator in discharging the powder from the powder reservoir and supplying the powder from the powder container to the powder reservoir.
