    • PURPOSE: To produce the titled composition capable of curing a gelcoat rapidly, and useful as a curing agent for the cold-forming of a fiber-reinforced plastic composition, by compounding a specific solvent in addition to the plasticizer used for the safety of ketone peroxide.
      CONSTITUTION: A ketone peroxide composition compounded with at least one kind of solvent selected from ethyl glycol acetate, butyl glycol acetate, dimethyl glutarate, dimethyl succinate, and dimethyl adipate, and a plasticizer (e.g. dimethyl phthalate). Since the molding operation of an FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) cannot be carried out before the drying of a gelcoat, a long waiting period is necessary especially in a cold season giving low rate of drying. The waiting period can be shortened by about 30W40% by the addition of said solvent. The ratio of the solvent to the plasticizer is 9/1W3/7, preferably 7/3W5/5.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain an aqueous suspension containing an organic peroxide, useful as a polymerization initiator of polystyrene, etc., and transport able with a pump without causing clogging, by using tribasic calcium phosphate as an active component.
      CONSTITUTION: An aqueous suspension containing an organic peroxide is prepared by compounding tribasic calcium phosphate. The liquid can be prepared e.g. by adding a necessary amount of tribasic calcium phosphate to a definite amount of water, dispersing under stirring, optionally adding and dispersing a dispersion stabilizing assistant in the dispersion, adding a required amount of powder (benzoyl peroxide) moistened with water, and stirring the mixture. Even if a partial phase-separation takes place in the above suspension, the suspension can be homogenized easily by the light shaking or stirring, to enable the approach to the practical adoption of the automatic charging system with a pump. In the conventional process, the charge of the peroxide has to be carried out through a manhole and accordingly the operation of a polymerization plant in closed system has been impossible. The present process clears the way for the operation of the plant in closed system.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a crosslinked composition, crosslinkable with hot air at a low crosslinking temperature and a high crosslinking rate without causing blooming even in the absence of the secondary crosslinking treatment, by using bis(o-methylbenzoyl) peroxide as a crosslinking agent.
      CONSTITUTION: A silicone rubber is crosslinked by using bis(o-methylbenzoyl) peroxide as a crosslinking agent therefor at 90W150°C. The above-mentioned peroxide may be formed into a paste with a phthalic acid ester for ensuring the safety and finely dividing into particles. The amount of the peroxide is about 0.5W10mmol, preferably 1W10mmol, based on 100g silicone rubber.

The pot life of the mixture of the molding sand is prolonged by using such compsn. and the compressive strength of the molding of the molding sand is increased.
