    • An apparatus for heating water is provided having a water receptacle including a bottom wall and side walls for containing a volume of water therein to be heated. The bottom wall of the receptacle has an exterior surface and an interior surface proximate the volume of water to be heated. The water is heated by a heater contained within the water receptacle and secured to the interior surface of the bottom wall of the receptacle by a securement pin which extends through the bottom wall and is threadably engaged with the heater. The heater is elevated from the interior surface of the water receptacle by a collar of high insulation material which is received within a peripheral groove portion of the heater such that the tightening of the securement pin compresses the rubber collar to create a seal between the heater and the bottom wall of the water receptacle. In addition, the elevating collar serves as a barrier between the heater and the bottom wall such that the heater is not in direct contact with the water receptacle wherein in the event of overheating, the heater does not melt or burn the water receptacle.

    • An automatic bread making apparatus including a housing having an interior surface and defining a top opening is provided. A top cover is provided for covering the top opening of said housing, the top cover having an interior wall and an interior partition, with the interior partition defining a space between the top cover interior wall and the interior partition. A baking chamber having interior and exterior surfaces, the baking chamber positioned within the housing to form an air space between the interior surface of the housing and the exterior surface of the baking chamber is also provided. The baking chamber defines an opening covered by the partition. A baking pan made of a heat-conductive material is also provided, the baking pan positioned within the baking chamber to define an air space between the interior surface of the baking chamber and the baking pan. A first centrifugal impeller is mounted within the cover and configured to supply and circulate heated air to the air space defined between the interior surface of the baking chamber and the baking pan. A second centrifugal impeller mounted within the cover and configured to supply cool air to the space defined between the interior surface of the housing and the exterior surface of the baking chamber and between the interior wall of the top cover and the partition.

    • An electric air heating element is designed for positioning in the cylindrical or conical outlet tube of a hair dryer. It consists of a star-shaped coil carrier in the shape of four fins extending radially from a common center line in the axis of the outlet tube towards the tube walls. The fin edges are serrated by adjacent rectangular slots, the slots on each edge penetrating alternately to a shallow and to a greater depth, and a ribbon-shaped resister laid into these slots is helically wound around the coil carrier. In this way successive windings lie in different planes and air turbulence around the heating coil is thereby increased, improving the heat transfer between the resistor windings and the throughflowing air.

A second impeller is provided to supply cool air to the space defined between the interior surface of the housing and the exterior surface of the baking chamber.

    • A space heater comprises a heater plate made of a metal sheet provided with vertical corrugations, the corrugations in the bottom portion of the sheet being compressed to a flat strip of a thickness not less than three times the thickness of the sheet. The corrugations are so dimensioned that the unfolded length of the metal sheet is three times the length of the corrugated length of the heater body. One, two or more electric flat heating elements are laid along the compressed bottom edge and pressed against it by a U-shaped retaining channel. When serving as a room air-heater, the heater plate is covered on one or both sides by protective panels to prevent people from touching the hot plate and to increase convective air current flow.
