    • A bone anchoring device includes an anchoring element including a shaft and a head; a receiving part including a first end and a second end, and having a channel for receiving a rod near the first end, and an accommodation space for accommodating the head near the second end; and a pressure element configured to be located at least partially in the accommodation space and including a flexible portion to clamp the head, wherein the anchoring element is pivotable, and the pressure element is movable inside the accommodation space to lock the head within the pressure element, and wherein a first securing portion on the pressure element and a second securing portion on the receiving part are configured to engage and form a rigid coupling therebetween to prevent removal of the pressure element from the first end of the receiving part.

    • The present invention relates to a gear mechanism for the drive assembly of a heald shaft (1), wherein the gear mechanism (6, 6a, 6b, 6c) comprises an input shaft (7, 7b, 7c) and an output shaft (5, 5b, 5c). The gear mechanism (6, 6a, 6b, 6c) generates a differential angle of rotation between the input shaft (7, 7b, 7c) and the output shaft (5, 5b, 5c) that is superimposed on the angle of rotation and, in dependence on the angle of rotation, is subjected to an oscillating change. This oscillating change can differ from a harmonic oscillation as a result of the non-circular design of the planet gears (11a, 12a, 13a) of the gear mechanism (6, 6b, 6c), thereby making it possible to realize almost any optional movements for the heald shaft (1), with low strain on the gears and the bearings. The invention furthermore discloses a simple production method and a compact design.

    • A bone anchoring assembly includes a bone anchoring element having a shank to be anchored in a bone or a vertebra, and a receiving part for receiving a rod. The assembly includes a rod made at least partly of a material which exhibits a material flow under pressure. The receiving part includes a channel with an approximately U-shaped cross-section with two free legs, a first locking element cooperating with the legs to secure the rod in the channel, and a second locking element cooperating with the first locking element and acting independently from the first locking element onto the rod. A pin-shaped projection is provided at the second locking element which comes into contact with the rod when tightening the second locking element, and at least one pin-shaped projection is provided in the channel which comes into contact with the rod when tightening the first locking element.
