摘要： An injector system includes a powered injector, a pressurizing chamber in operative connection with the powered injection, a fluid path in fluid communication with the pressurizing chamber, and a manual control in fluid connection with the fluid path. The manual control includes at least one actuator for controlling the injector through application of force by an operator. The actuator provides tactile feedback of pressure in the fluid path to the operator via a fluid connection therewith. An injection system for use in angiography includes a source of saline, a pump in fluid connection with the source of saline to pressurized the saline, a source of contrast, a contrast valve in fluid connection with the source of contrast, a powered injector in fluid connection with the contrast valve, and a pressure isolation mechanism.

The plunger section forms a sealing engagement with the inner wall of the container such that rearward motion of the plunger is adapted to draw fluid into the system via the inlet and forward motion of the plunger is adapted to force effluent out of the system via the effluent port.

摘要： A means for detecting the presence of a transparent liquid in the barrel of a transparent angiography syringe comprising a plurality of indicator patterns positioned on the exterior of the barrel, the indicator patterns arranged in a helical array circumscribing the barrel of the syringe. When the syringe is empty, each indicator pattern is seen as having a first elliptical configuration; however, when the fluid is present in the barrel, the indicator pattern appears to have a second circular configuration, and the difference in apparent configuration is indicative of the presence of the liquid. The indicator patterns are arranged in a non-overlapping array, to permit non-obstructed viewing of the patterns, as well as ready comparison of distorted and non-distorted patterns.

The fluid connector can further include grasping members extending from the extending section to facilitate rotation of the extending section relative to the container port during piercing thereof. The fluid connector can also include a check valve in fluid connection with the air line. In several embodiments, the check valve is positioned within the extending section.

摘要： A syringe includes a body and a plunger disposed therein. The body includes a nozzle formed therein and at least one hub member connected thereto or integrally formed thereon for holding an end of a connector tube. The connector tube includes two ends, each end preferably being connected to a respective hub member to retain the connector tube in contact with the syringe. Preferably, the syringe and the connector tube are packaged in a pre-connected condition for ease of use by the customer. Furthermore, flexible inlet tubing for connection to a syringe for filling the syringe with contrast media, for example, is described. The inlet tubing permits filling of the syringe from either a bag or a bottle and may remain attached to the syringe so that it forms at least a part of the connection to the patient. In addition, an apparatus for facilitating the purge of air from a connector tube that will ultimately be connected between a syringe and a patient is described. The apparatus includes a purging tube connected to the distal end of the connector tubing from the syringe. The purging tube includes a venting cap at its distal end. A flow inhibitor is positioned under the venting cap to cooperate with the venting cap by discouraging the discharge of fluid from the distal end of the purging tube while permitting the discharge of air therefrom.
