    • PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductive material starting superconductivity transition at a temperature lower than the temperatures at which the well-known superconductive material do, having a crystal structure of K2NiF4 type, consisting essentially of a composition having La, Sr, or Ca, Cu and O in a given atomic ratio. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive material of this invention consists essentially of a composition shown by the formula and has a crystal structure of K2NiF4 type. Since the superconductive material has a high critical temperature, it is cooled more readily than the existing superconductive material. Since the superconductive material is stable even if heated to high temperature of about 1,100 deg.C, the superconductive material has high degree of freedom in production of superconductive electric wire or electronic element material. Being a ceramic superconductive material, the superconductive material has electric, magnetic and mechanical properties different from those of existing metallic superconductive materials. Consequently, when the superconductive material is used as a Josephson element or superconductive quantum coherent material, it increases diversity thereof.
