    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to root from a root section which is a cut cross section of a tissue piece of all plants without generating and growing swollen curdy callus at the cut cross section of the piece of tissue of the plant.
      SOLUTION: The subject method for producing a young seedling is to place a piece of a plant tissue having a rooting inhibitor or having no rooting inhibitor but physiologically difficult to root to bring the rooting section which is a cut cross section so as to contact air without contacting a culture medium, place the piece of the plant tissue on the medium to be able to absorb nutrients of the medium or plant hormone from the leaf and the stem butt by inserting at least one spot of the leaf which is not the cut cross section or a part of the stem butt except the cut cross section of the piece of the plant tissue. The rooting section which is the cut cross section of the plant tissue becomes dry and roots without passing callus. After rooting, the root is transplanted by burying it in a suitable medium or soil and fixed to a field after actively rooting and conditioned.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating a polyploidic plant utilizing mixoploidy.
      SOLUTION: The method for creating the polyploidic plant body is characterized as follows. Adventitious buds are raised by making the most of polyploidic cells intermixed in a plant body tissue utilizing a mixoploidy phenomenon of the plant body without relying on a chromosome duplication treatment with a polyploid inducer, radiation, etc. Polyploidic individuals are analyzed by a polyploidic analysis of the cells and selected. A method for producing the polyploidic plant is characterized as follows. A part of the plant body having the mixoploidy is cut and the adventitious buds developed from the cross section are raised. The polyploidy of the adventitious buds is analyzed by the polyploidic analysis of the cells. The polyploidic individuals are selected and raised to thereby efficiently raise the polyploidic plant. A tetraploidic plant is created by the methods.
