摘要： A flow body flow meter includes a flow body and a sensor having one or more probes in the flow body. As a wet gas stream enters the flow body, an internal passage imparts angular momentum to the stream to induce a rotating flow. The wet gas stream at least intermittently carries liquid phase particles and the inertia of the denser liquid phase particles separates them from the rotating flow. The probes of the sensor are located in a part of the rotating flow that is free of any liquid phase particles. The internal passage may include an axial swirler and a cylindrical section downstream from the axial swirler. The axial swirler imparts the nonlinear motion to the stream, and tips of the probes are located near a center axis of the cylindrical section so they are free of any liquid phase particles.

This cover is flexible and collapsible so that it conforms to the shape of the encased portion of the body. This prevents the cover from being noticed while it is worn under clothing. The cover can contain a medicament or agent for pretreating a portion of the body before an examination or procedure. When the cover is used to apply a topical anesthetic to a portion of the body for a recommended period of time prior to the procedure or examination commencing, the amount of discomfort experienced by the patient can be significantly reduced compared to the amount experienced by the patient who has the anesthetic applied for just a few moments before the procedure begins. Alternatively, the cover can be used to hold a medicament or agent on the intended portion of the body in order to heal a wound or cure a condition such as a skin rash or the like.

The clot retrieval device has an elongated catheter member that can be inserted in the vasculature, with one or more clot retrieval members on the elongated catheter member that are movable between an initial compressed configuration in which the clot retrieval device is inserted into the vasculature and an expanded configuration extending outwardly from the elongated catheter member to trap and hold clots within the vessel. The clot retrieval device typically can be introduced to the desired treatment site in the vasculature through a guiding catheter.

摘要： The three dimensional device is adapted to be inserted into a portion of a vasculature for occluding the portion of the vasculature for use in interventional therapy and vascular surgery. The device is formed from a multi-stranded microcable having a plurality of flexible strands of a shape memory material and at least one radiopaque strand. The device can be bundled by an outer cover to constrain the strands of the micro-cable about a longitudinal axis to produce a composite banded cable. The radiopaque strand can have a core strand with a plurality of intermittently spaced apart enlarged radiopaque portions that may be a plurality of beads of radiopaque material spaced apart and mounted on the core strand, or a plurality of coils intermittently wound about and spaced apart on the core strand.

摘要： The three dimensional, low friction vasoocclusive coil has a distal portion that is three dimensionally shaped, and a proximal portion that is linear or helically shaped. The vasoocclusive device is formed from at least one strand of a flexible material formed to have an a first inoperable, substantially linear configuration for insertion into and through a catheter or cannula to a desired portion of the vasculature to be treated, and a second operable, three dimensional configuration for occluding the desired portion of the vasculature to be treated. The vasoocclusive device has a distal portion having a second operable, three dimensional shape for filing the anatomical cavity at the site in the vasculature to be treated, and a proximal portion having a second operable, substantially linear shape for filling and reinforcing the distal, three dimensional shaped portion when it is implanted at the site in the vasculature to be treated. Mandrels are provided for use in the method of making the vasoocclusive device.

摘要： The endoluminal device delivery assembly and method for release and deployment of an endoluminal therapeutic device at a desired location for treatment within the vasculature of a patient utilizes an elongated flexible tubular catheter with a tubular distal tip formed of a yieldable material mounted to the distal end of the catheter for releasably holding the proximal end of the endoluminal device. The endoluminal device can be dislodged from the tubular distal tip by a pusher member or pressurized fluid to expel the endoluminal device through at the desired location for treatment within the vasculature of a patient. A flexible coil can be mounted to the distal end of the elongated pusher member to provide for improved tracking.
