    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store an antenna of high performance in a small housing formed of a conductor.SOLUTION: A clock device 1 has a housing 2 constituted of a metallic concave container. A concave portion 10 of the housing 2 includes: a clock operation portion 21; and an inverted F antenna portion 3 for receiving a radio wave from a GPS satellite. The inverted F antenna portion 3 is at the back of a character board 11. Since the character board 11 is a dielectric, the inverted F antenna portion 3 can receive the radio wave passing through a glass plate 12, and the character board 11. A plurality of electric length parts are formed in an excited conductive plate 4 by a shape of the excited conductive plate 4 and the inverted F antenna portion 3 is made into multiple frequencies. When at least a part of an inner peripheral face of the concave portion 10 and an outer peripheral portion of the excited conductive plate 4 is brought close to a prescribed distance or below, a resonance frequency of the inverted F antenna portion 3 can be lowered. Thus, the inverted F antenna portion 3 can be miniaturized.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar inverted F antenna that facilitates the connection of a feed line.SOLUTION: A main conductive plate functioning as an exciting conductive plate has two slits from an open end to a position where an input impedance is Z (=50 Ω). The region between the slits is used as a microstrip line (MSL) and a width w is determined such that a characteristic impedance of a transmission line is Z. The MSL is bent on both sides or either side along the length of the MSL to form a planar inverted F antenna having a U-shaped or L-shaped section. Specifically, the planar inverted F antenna formed has the exciting conductive plate and MSL spaced by a predetermined distance outside a ground conductive plate bent to a U-shaped or L-shaped section. The planar inverted F antenna can be bent along the length of the MSL to change a positional relationship between the connection position of a feed pin and a radiation end.
