摘要：鋳鉄溶湯に添加剤として硫酸ナトリウムを添加混合することを特徴とする鋳鉄溶湯中のマンガン除去方法である。鋳鉄の製造においてマンガン含有量を低下させることが出来るので、安価でMn含有量の多い鋼屑を原料として使用しても、引張強さを低下させずに伸び特性を向上させた高延性の鋳鉄を得ることが出来る。その上、操業管理において省力化が図れ、廃棄物の発生量がより少なく、添加剤等の消費量がより少ないので、生産コストが抑えられる。

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for improving mechanical properties of a ductile cast iron by controlling an amount of Bi added to the cast iron for diminishing graphite.
SOLUTION: The ductile cast iron comprises 3.0-4.0% C, 1.5-3.0% Si, 0.1-0.4% Mn, ≤0.05% P, ≤0.01% S and the balance being Fe and further comprises 0.0005-0.05% Bi and 0.0001-0.05% Ca, wherein a large amount of spheroidal graphite is crystallized on a ferrite-base matrix with a high cleanliness while retaining a spheroidizing rate of ≥90%. The cast iron exerts both a toughness and a strength represented by a tensile strength of ≥450 MPa and an elongation of ≥20% through a synergistic action between Bi and Ca.
