Then the C1 clutch drum 25 is coupled with the ring gear 20 of the planet gear transmission mechanism 8 with possibility of engaging and disengaging freely as desired, and at the same time, a bearing 27 is interposed between the center cylinder of the C1 clutch drum 25 and the side face of a flange 20a of the ring gear 20. Then bearings 19, 16 are interposed between the ring gear 20 and carrier 17 and between it and a sun gear 10 and fastened. The fit part of a sun gear drum 11 and the fit part of the C2 clutch drum 30 are coupled together either by caulking or using a snap ring or a pin.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-plate type friction engaging device capable of reducing a shock when a friction plate is integrated with a separator while maintaining a drag phenomenon reduction effect. SOLUTION: Since the friction plate 32 is formed like a corrugated plate wherein top parts and bottom parts of a wave are radially arranged, and oil interposed between the friction plate and the separator can be discharged while retaining a clearance between the friction plate and the separator, a drag phenomenon can be reduced. Further, since only top part friction members 34 of a high coefficient of friction are abutted when abutting of the friction plate and the separator is started, and bottom friction members 35 of a low coefficient of friction are also abutted until right before integration of the friction plate and the separator, change of a coefficient of friction with respect to piston pressing force gradually changes from then.
