摘要： PURPOSE:To realize fast overwrite by taking synchronization by an embedded clocking system, projecting light on a magnetic domain recorded at a previous time accurately as matching a timing, and writing information by modulating the intensity or the pulse length of the light by recording information. CONSTITUTION:Write is performed on the magnetic domain recorded at the previous time by projecting the light as matching the timing, and the overwrite of arbitrary new information is performed by projecting the light with a long pulse when a recording magnetic domain is formed, and projecting the light with a short pulse when no recording magnetic domain is formed. In such a case, it is desirable to perform the write in such a way that the timing is obtained from pits arranged at equal intervals on the track of a disk, and based on the timing, a clock signal to divide the pit or an embedding signal in arbitrary shape to the next pit or embedding signal in the arbitrary shape accurately in detail is generated, and the light is projected on the magnetic domain recorded at the previous time by taking the synchronization by the signal and matching the timing. In such a way, the fast overwrite can be realized.

摘要： PURPOSE:To correct a deviation signal due to beam deflection and to execute more accurate track pursue by providing a wobbling system servo circuit which corrects a frequency component such as an eccentric fundamental frequency at a tracking control circuit system. CONSTITUTION:The light flux of a laser 1 is reflected by a prism 3 and converged to an information track 61 of a disk 6. A reflecting light modulated by the information of the disk 6 passes through a prism 3 and is converged to detecting devices 7a and 7b. The output of the detecting devices 7a and 7b is divided by a differential amplifier 24, comes to be a control signal by a control circuit 25, is amplified by a driving amplifier 26 and added to an actuator 19 for tracking. By adding the output of an oscillating device 27 to the amplifier 26, a lens 5 is fine oscillated in the direction of an arrow 16 and an optical beam is fine oscillated in the direction to cross the optical beam. The output of the detecting devices 7a and 7b is added by an adder 30, the component in the vicinity of an oscillating frequency is removed, the output of the oscillating device 27 is used, a synchronizing detection 28 is executed and the dislocation between the optical beam and the center of the track can be detected.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain signals from output of a track detector corresponding to points of disconnection and utilize them for various control at need by providing guide grooves that act as optical guide and making the grooves discontinuous. CONSTITUTION:As track grooves 2 are sufficient for tracking control even if they are not continuous, points 20 of disconnection having width that does not give hindrance to tracking control are provided. Thereby, signals corresponding to the points of disconnection are obtained from output of a track detector. The signals reflect predetermined rule of intermittency and the state of rotation of a disk. Accordingly, information of disk rotation control can be obtained from the signals when necessary. This can be utilized for a basis of timing reproduction and a basis of a write signal.

In the data recording/ reproduction, a tracking error signal by the pre-wobbling method with accurate deviation without offset from the track center of the light spot position is detected from the pre-wobbling pit 20 arranged to the header region and the error signal is used to correct a push-pull tracking error signal including the offset utilizing the distribution of diffracted light from a pre-group 15 having a depth of 1/8 wavelength. Thus, the light spot traces the track with high accuracy to record and reproduce the data.

摘要： PURPOSE:To perform tracking precisely by driving an ultrasonic optical modulator by a modulator driver which differs in carrier frequency. Therefore, the laser light 22 has its intensity modulated with a fomatter signal 7 after passing through the ultrasonic optical modulator 24 and is reflected by a reflecting miror 26 after passing through a laser luminous flux correction optical system 25 and converged by anobjective 27 on the surface of a rotary disk 29 as a fine spot. The light spot 28 and disk 29 are moved relatively with high precision so that a pre-pit array formed by the light spot 28 is arranged spirally and intermittently along concentric tracks.

Further, the number of sectors per one round is increased discontinuously from the inside circumference of the disc toward the outside circumference with respect to the reference track 11 to record data with higher density.
