    • An optical memory apparatus wherein predetermined information is optically recorded on a recording medium along guide grooves previously formed and then played back, comprises: projecting means for projecting a laser beam on the recording medium, light reception means for receiving reflected light from the recording medium, means for generating a tracking error signal on the basis of an output from the light reception means, first means [26(a)], for enveloping upper an information signal [512] obtained from the light reception means, second means [202] for generating a signal corresponding to the direction of passage each time the light beam passes through the guide groove, on the basis of the output from said first means and the tracking error signal, third means [203 - 209] for detecting a difference between the guide groove where the light beam exists and a target guide groove on the basis of the output from said second means and for generating a first control signal for controlling the position of the light beam in correspondence with said difference, light beam position-control means [1, 210,251] for bringing the light beam near to the target guide groove in response to the first control signal.

    • A shock absorber comprising a device for detecting the position and velocity of a moving object; a movement mechanism including a movable part, means for detecting the contact between the movable part and the object, and means for detecting the displacement value of the movable part; and a device for controlling the movement mechanism. With information from the position and velocity detecting device, the control device controls the movement mechanism so that the movable part may move on the course of the object and in the same direction as the moving direction thereof at a velocity corresponding to the velocity of the object. Subsequently, with an information from the contact detecting means, it reduces the velocity of the movable part on the basis of a predetermined deceleration pattern when the object has come into contact with the movable part. Further, with an information from the displacement value detecting means, it executes a positioning control so as to stop the movable part at a predetermined position when the displacement value of the movable part has reached a predetermined value.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of easily adjusting a downward drainage rate of a liquid cyclone which separates materials mixed with two kinds of the materials by each of the materials.
SOLUTION: The liquid cyclone is constituted by inserting a barrel-shaped inner cylinder 5 into an external cylinder 2 formed to a conical shape in its lower part and to a cylindrical shape in its upper part and discharges the specific gravity liquid flowing in from the upper part of the external cylinder from a lower opening 7 of the conical-shape section and the inner cylinder 5. The central axis of the lower opening 7 of the conical-shape section and the central axis of the inner cylinder 5 are offset, by which a lower drainage rate is changed. The inner cylinder and the lower opening are arranged in s positional relation where the mixture to be separated is higher in a separation rate, by which the desired the separation rate can be obtained.
