    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for immunological measurement of homocysteines, and capable of readily and efficiently excluding the effects of immunoreaction inhibitors derived from biological samples, since it is known that measurement values vary due to the effects of immunoreaction inhibitors that have been derived from biological samples, and to provide a kit used for the same.
      SOLUTION: The exclude effects of immunoreaction inhibitors can be excluded by making homocysteine react with an antibody in the presence of polyanions. A specimen and the antibody are made to react in the presence of exogenous polyanions, to immunologically measure the homocysteine contained in a biological sample according to the method.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably preserve a solidification anti-SCC antibody which is a measuring reagent for a squamous cell carcinoma-related antigen (SCC antigen) which is a useful tumor marker, and to remove restriction of its utilization.
      SOLUTION: The solidification anti-SCC antibody is preserved in acidic solution. Hereby, the heat stability thereof can be improved, and also a prescribed measurement result can be acquired in a reaction with the SCC antigen. Consequently, this stabilization solidification anti-SCC antibody reagent and an immunoassay method using it can be provided, and the clinical significance of the SCC antigen can be grasped precisely with higher reliability.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover for a medical instrument which prevents the reduction of a measurement accuracy resulted from carelessness when a patient handles the medical instrument, and at the same time, reduces a psychological burden of the patient who uses the medical instrument.
      SOLUTION: This protective cover 30 has a plate section 32 which can substantially cover the surface of the medical instrument, and side sections 34a to 34c which are integrally provided on the outer edge in a manner to surround the plate section 32 and form an approximately right angle to the plate section 32. A window section 36 is provided on the plate section 32. The opening shape of the window section 36 is approximately the same as a display section of the medical instrument on which the protective cover is fitted, and a user of the medical instrument can read a numerical figure or a message displayed on the display section from the window section 36. Also, an opening part 38 is provided on the plate section 32. The opening shape of the opening part 38 is approximately the same as the switch of the medical instrument, and thus, the user can operate the switch.
